t_barb
Here is an idea on something I do all the time for a venison appetizer... take stew meat or cut up steaks into small pieces... pound them lightly to flatten them and then they have the consistency of "cube steaks".. dip in egg and then Italian bread crumbs.. you can either fry them or bake them in the oven until crisp... Dip in anything from BBQ sauce to Ranch dressing... guaranteed everyone will like them.. also easy to make them ahead of time and re-heat.. just an idea
Robhuntandfish
I do that with wild turkey chunks and cook in the deep fryer. Comes out great. Use sweet and sour dipping sauce.

I want to simply grill like I always do for under 5 min. and serve up.
Pygmy
I picked up some lovely sea scallops for me and The Mermaid....I plan to pan sear them in a HOT skillet in butter/olive oil and wash them down with Genny Light.. Haven't decided on the accompaniments yet, but since I have a pound and a half of the scallops, I may just do a salad ..
crappyice
So I plan to throw some venison on the grill for xmas as an appetizer. I typically just use salt & pepper, let it sit at room temp for like 30-40min and then grill it hot and quick. For the people coming to xmas who don't love venison but will want to eat it with some sort of dipping sauce, what do you guys suggest? I'm thinking some sort of BBQ sauce for them? Thx.Brown onions (preferably in caste iron pan) slice meat thin and put on crustini with some horseradish sauceSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Try a cream horseradish sauce with some dill. Goes great with my steak bites.
