Doc
So how many of you have a dedicated trophy room, or a den that features mounts, hunting and fishing stuff? Just a nice room of your own to retreat into that is decorated to put you in a nice, relaxed, outdoorsy atmosphere and frame of mind. Any pictures? bubba
I use my reloading room. Just antlers on the wall and a sign that says man cave big racks tall tales. Also a couch to sit on and look around oh yeah and a tv to watch.
BBDEric
Yes I finally have a game room. For now until my wife decide we need a play room for the kids.....
Skillet
The whole house. The only room without some sort of mount in it is the bathroom. The best part is, she wouldn't have it any other way. (Most of the mounts are stuff she killed anyway!)
Doc
I was looking at the piebald hide that somebody posted a picture of. And then a thread came out about a bear hide. And there have been other posts about taxidermy and mounted foxes and such. It all made me think that perhaps some here might have some neat looking dens or man-caves or trophy rooms. I have a lot of free space downstairs that maybe could be converted to such a room. I even have an unused fireplace down there. I also have some mounts and other items of taxidermy laying all over the house in places that simply were not furnished or designed for that décor. So I was hoping that some guys might have some pictures that I might use as examples as I continue to think about how I would design such a space. stubby68
Yep my freezer. The rest I let my dad keep he either does some sort of mount or makes knifes. I let him hang the mounts I do not care about the rack just the meat
hunter49
Finished off basement as my man cave/trophy room. Deer, fish, turkey, pheasant mounts.
chiefbkt
Back in the end of January I kicked the kids out of this room and cleaned out all of the old toys that they never play with. Had to compromise with the wife so the treadmill and bike stayed. I added the furniture and tv 2 days before the Super Bowl. The lamp is an antler lamp I bought online for $20, drapes (?) are from Bass Pro. Pay no attention to the boxes, I'm in the process of building a computer. The only things I really want to change is the mirror behind the shelving and the blinds. I'm thinking a nice outdoor mural over the mirror. I also have some various outdoor pics and a few more deer skulls/antlers that still need to be added.

LOL.....I have some warthog tusks as towel holders in the bathroom. Good to see some pics;<) Started late last fall working on a spot to consolidate mounts to an area and have been too busy to complete it with work and other activities. Have around 25 shoulder/pedestal mounts, some lifesizes and numerous skulls and skins that need hanging. Goal now is end of the year........I hope. phade
I had one and then it filled up with water, and, that was that. Once I'm out of this house...the man cave is going to be glorious. It might not even be a cave. I've talked the wife already into one of the nice steel outbuildings. Whooooooo!

It might not even be a cave. I've talked the wife already into one of the nice steel outbuildings. Whooooooo! Think log building nestled into a wooded section of the back yard. Perhaps a nice stone fireplace, with a well-stocked refrigerator hidden behind a wooden door. Big-screen TV, and some great sound system. And how about a back room workshop for reloading, and archery gear repair and tuning. Oh what the hell, let's attach a 30 yard indoor bow range, and perhaps a lift door that accesses a nice shot to the outdoor 200 yard shooting range and a nice sandbagged shooting bench to check out those new reloads. And maybe it's time to cultivate a new hobby of fly-tying. I'm sure some generous space for a fly-tying bench could find its way in there right next to the fishing rod racks and the tackle shelves. And the final touches of a nice comfy couch and instructions as to where and when the wife needs to take the meals. Life could be mighty fine.
