Leaves Turning?

When I was down in Allegheny county last Saturday I noticed a few trees had some color. Anybody have any pics? Up here in the city it's green as can be....UGGH.

I was out at Allegheny state park last weekend there were a few trees with a good bit of color

I was in the Catskills 2 weeks ago and they were starting to change

They started 2 weeks ago and falling now in the catskills.

No pics, but I noticed some yesterday in Delaware Co.

Also, some goldenrod/scrub fields are starting to get "that look" to em.

I'll be draining the Rotella 15w40 oil from my jeep and replacing with 10w30 in the next couple weeks! Can't wait til we get high temps of only 40-50 degrees!

Not seeing much here, looking across Seneca Lake to the eastern side. The grasses are starting to give it up though.

 

I love autumn and always have. Hunting and harvesting, storing up for the coming winter. Canning, hunting, stocking the freezer, freeing the tractor of the belly mower so that it can be a tractor again. Life without bugs!

But the thought of having to feed the woodstove for the next 7 or 8 months is weighing heavily on my mind as I get older.

 

I'm ready, bring on the color show.

Have a few maples turning here and there, same trees every year always go quick.

I was in Bath yesterday and I noticed a lot of patches

Yesterday I had to go up to Waterport and noticed a fair amount of trees with color, today I had to head to Canadice for a memorial service for a friends brother.  Some color and a bunch of trees losing leaves!

I drove to Syracuse this weekend from NYC and i noticed a few trees have changed but those were mostly younger trees. The older trees looked like they were a week to a couple weeks from turning.

I have heard that the trees that turn color early are generally indicating some form of stress. Too wet, too dry, disease or bug infestations, and other forms of distress in the tree or bush, is what I have been told results in early color changes.

Yes I saw color last weekend in 8P. Not much but some.

It's just starting in lower Ulster. Man I can't wait for fall, I like my summers short.

This pic was taken from front of my friends house in Machias, N.Y., Cattaraugus County last week. Few trees across road were turning color and dropping leaves. I will be hunting on his property this year. I hope fall gets here fast!!
