bunch of thugs messing it up for the rest of the city.  like that mother setting her kid straight.  mother of the year right there.  also those religious figures of all walks of life linking peacefully driving the rioters back so fires can be put out and order restored.  that's a very admirable thing.  can't wait for Rev Sharpton to go down and stir the pot, squashing whatever progress those real religious figures have made.

One would think that since we have a black president in office, race relations would be at an all time high?  Doesn't look that way, does it?  Honestly, I am sick an tired of Obama's back-handed swipes at law enforcement.  Yesterday, he called these Baltimore rioters "criminals and thugs" and then he proceeded to take swipes at law enforcement as he typically does.  This is BS in it's highest form.  As president he needs to back law enforcement of the land and NOT bash it.  This is just giving more fuel to these rioting idiots to continue doing this crap.  He can't get out of office fast enough in my opinion.

Probably one of the most difficult jobs there are.

 

problem is they make life altering decisions that take other peoples lives, and when they make bad calls they aren't held accountable because other cops say stuff like " don't worry I got your back".

 

social Media and the internet and Cell Phone Vids are just shining a HUGE spotlight on how often police kill unarmed black men who do questionable things.

 

Don't get me wrong a lot of people down there are just taking advantage of this to cause trouble and should be punished accordingly, as should officers who abuse the power given to them and make bad calls that take peoples lives.

 

But of course people assume that the police always make the "right call" and everyone they kill is a perp and when people get outraged and protest they just don't get it.

 

My own wife does the same thing, overgeneralize and say what is wrong with black people. then I have to remind her she has two black sons one of which is in a Gifted and Talented school and she corrects herself. the people doing this are poor, uneducated, criminals who feel they have no way out, some who probably wouldn't take a way out if it was handed to them on a silver platter because they are CRIMINALS.

 

when other races riot you never hear people say whats wrong with white people, whats wrong with arab people, whats wrong with Irish or Philippinos. crap like this could happen to any race in any country, its a people problem and in my opinion it all stems from a lack of education in a welfare state in places where there are huge pockets of crime and poverty. add perceived police/military/government abuse and there will always be a tipping point.

 

you want to fix this, educate, rehabilitate and find ways to grow the middle class and create jobs instead of shrinking the middle class and turning america to a piss pot of idiots who overuse credit creating bubbles that ruin the economy.

Hard for me to support there actions as there is not a finding of what caused the death the  person. It may be poor response to a health issue with the person, if that is the final finding then the police officer or medical attendant should be held responsible.

 

I do wish there would be more support to hold the people who break into stores and cause fire damage or damage or take things accountable..

Protests Spread Across Nation

 

 

 

 

 

In Los Angeles, six people protesting against police brutality were arrested Monday night when they failed to disperse, reported CNN affiliate KABC. About 50 people marched, KABC said.

 

In Chicago, hundreds of protesters marched Tuesday from police headquarters at 35th and Michigan through the Southside, CNN affiliate WGN reported. Police made one arrest, for reckless conduct.

 

About 100 people marched Monday night in Oakland in support of Baltimore protesters, reported CNN affiliate KABC.

 

A protest is planned for Thursday in Cincinnati, reported CNN affiliate WXIX. Philly.com said a "Philly is Baltimore" protest will be held Thursday at Philadelphia City Hall.

I do not understand the expression of outrage over police brutality justifying the burning and looting of neighboring properties. Where's the logic in that? That kind of lends credence to the suspicion that none of this really has as much to do with police brutality as it does with a simple excuse to hold a party and burn and break things.

What everyone fails to say is these people all in the past while have all been career scumbags. The guy shot in the back, he was trying to sell guns to be used in other crimes to an undercover agent. The guy that was beaten on horseback was an identity thief. And number one rule is don't fight a cop don't be a scumbag and you will be perfectly fine. Now if the kid in Baltimore did not have any direct cause to his demise then I will blame the cops for his death but at the same time people need to stop jumping to conclusions before any evidence is presented.

I would agree that the disparity between the rich and middle class is growing, BUT you can still live very comfortably in the middle class and a person could get there by hard work.  Typically things don't just fall into anyones lap.  They need to work for it.  Even the education you talk about.  Education is there for people and it's free thru the end of high school and even thru college for those in financial need.  It starts in the home with parents who value education.  If you have parents who don't give a crap, then you have children who don't either.  That's what you typically have with these people who complain that they are not given any opportunities.  If you just floundered your way thru school and don't have any discipline in your life, most likely you will never be impressing any employers.  Those who work hard can make it, while those who are not willing to don't.  What is unfair about that?  I myself don't see anything unfair.   

 

As far as overusing credit, this again begins at home.  No school can teach you this.  If you have parents who are materialistic and just have to have the latest and greatest of everything whether they have the money for it or not, then you have children who turn out the same.  Like they say,  apples don't fall too far from the trees.
