Cayuga creek in Lancaster. May be the highest it's ever been.

Damn  !!  That' some serious water..Reminds me of June of '72.......

Just talked to my brother. He said same thing. You see that bridge at golf course I post. Same scenario. Flash flood. He , a few other guys working grounds crew and a few members were stuck on the wrong side of the 3 bridges for a day and a half lol.
There's major roads closed everywhere. One had a huge dumpster floating across the road. And I wonder why our basement flooded ?!

Definitely a wet summer. Normally I have to add water to my pool a few times a month, this year I haven't add once. I also haven't used sprinklers for yard the entire summer either. Pretty crazy

This isn't just WNY, the Capitol Region is getting hammered as well. In fact, it's the entire USA. Between forest fires and flooding, it's all a mess.

Hoosick Falls got blasted!

My future mother-in-law and father-in-law were right next door selling stuff at a flea market when this one happened:

Yes good old Hurricane Agnes was one to remember. Water flowed across the highway out in front of my property right at the mouth of my driveway. Huge areas of trees were sliding down the steeper hillsides of the valley because of the super-saturated  soil. And that was from just one weather event. This year we have had a whole spring and summer of unrelenting rain. Water can be a very nasty thing when it comes in excess like that.
