I'm glad you asked! I took the top to Guis Lumber Friday and they ran it through their barrel sander with 150, it's nearly perfect. I'm going to hit it with 220 and then pick a finish. I did some test pieces with clear and no color came out s im probably going to stain it. I really want it to pop. I found a company called Sigma that sells all of the pipe and it comes to $80 vs $300 on either Amazon or at Home Depot. I'm heading out again for a couple days then I'll start on that part.

When you get the other pieces cut down, we can make some shelves and I assume you'll want at least 1 drawer. Also, I read online that you need to clean the back pipe with paint thinner or acetone otherwise the color can bleed off on carpets etc. Let me know when you are ready, the shop is open evenings!

The wait was killing me so I had to start a new project. I picked up this dresser at a garage sale and decided to refinish it for my daughter. It's going to be a birthday/ house warming gift as she is buying her first house outside of Baltimore.

The dresser will be used as a hutch in her dining room.

The original top was a laminate so I made a new top out of oak, painted the rest and added new door pulls. 

I also picked up 2 end tables, I'll post pics when they are done.

tim you should try this site..much cheaper finds than restore. wny.estate  picked up things for few dollars that are worth 100's online auction everything starts at 1 dollar .
