OtiscoPaul
I just read a post about another member's dog... I love dogs...had a 110lb chocolate pass away at 10yrs this summer (so we bought an rv in his honor and took him for one last adventure)...lost a 9 year old golden 2 years ago also to cancer (bought our fish n ski in his honor just before he passed as well). When the golden passed we got a black lab/golden retriever mix. I love these dogs more than most people. Please let's see your pooches! ApexerER
Dogs are the best and one of the hardest things I ever had to get over was the loss of my Golden Retriever Zimba. He passed 4 years ago this February also from cancer. I posted about it in this forum. He was by my side 24/7. Took him to work with me everyday. I don't have any pics of him on my work computer. Couldn't have ever asked for a better dog and loyal companion. I have a new Golden now named Milo. He is a great big dumbass. His name is fitting and I wouldn't trust him to take him to work everyday like I did Zimba although he has been here a few times. Although he is the same breed he is totally different and I love him just as much. Like you I love my dog more than most people.

Our golden was very special to my wife and I as well, that breed is still tops for me and 3 of my 4 dogs in life have been atleast semi-golden. I may not have ever experienced worse grief than his loss. We actually have been feeling guilty that we "handled" our chocolates passing as would be expected of people with human children. Man cancer is a real sonofa...someone get on that already.

Im sorry to hear about yours Lol, I know it sounds pretty shallow but with the golden we had been without a boat for a year (I had gotten old jet skis) than he got sick so I wanted him back on the water. With my big brown dog we had a big 30 yr annual family camping trip to our friends lake planned but it was so close to the end I just couldn't put him in the truck bed for 4 hours towing the trailer so we bought an rv...then when we got back the next day we got put him to sleep in the rv and he hated the vets office. We used that rv with the kids and other family all summer (just this past weekend) and took the black dog places the other two never got to go like the beach, no regrets! chrisw
My 10 week old miniature Dachsund, smart little bugger so far. I went without pets for like 10 years, we just bought a new house a month ago and I was sick of not having a pup. We both agreed on the mini dachshund and in came Winchester shortly afterwards...Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk 6

JRod 8G8H
This is Enzo. He's a 7.5 year old Puggle.. Beagle/pug... he's mostly beagle. Loves to run the woods but luckily listens really well to commands. Howls. Definitely doesn't play fetch lol. Wish I would've started him deer tracking..
corydd7
Was hoping to find a thread like this. After years of waiting for more room to stretch our legs my wife and I adopted a dog. I know ziltch about dogs and we were told he is a Mountain Cur. I looked at pictures and I'm not so sure. All though I love the stinking dog from moment one, I would like to know what his breed is. We picked him up from the local Humane Society and all they knew was he was 8 weeks old and from Georgia. Thanks in advance for input. Btw he had a brother as well, their names were Alan and Jackson, what a sucker I am can't believe we didn't take both. Jackson will have a happy home.
tarheel95
Two labs for us. Both from guiding eye breeding program. Pepsi, the yellow, is ten and yielded 18 service dogs. Ikea, the black, is 18 months and getting ready to be bred for the next generation of service dogs. Fantastic members of the family. BizCT
Boston (Scottish Fold) Storm (British Longhair) I’ve only ever had dogs as a kid growing up before these two guys. I trained them like dogs. They cry when I go on vacation and wait for me at the garage door every day I get home from work. They are both very routine like me. We watch a lot of sports together and I rough them up a bunch horseplaying. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
NYBowhunter
Heres Chase, my 8 month old Rat Terrier, smart as hell, fearless, tenacious and guards us and house like no other. Also here is Chase with his cat friend Lucia. What he does to that poor cat, hes lucky she has a lot of patience.
