WNY Bowhunter
Here's a cool old hometown buck that I got in to mount. A buddy killed him sunday morning. I definately feel this ancient old guy was on the downhill slide of antler growth.

dbHunterNY
heavy antlers. crazy for a buck to be that old. just doesn't happen around here unless you're deep up into the adirondacks. palmation is cool. i don't see that often even with really heaviest antlered bucks around here. Im assuming being you mentioned he was on a decline that those previous year sheds were bigger then those he was wearing when he got shot? grampy
What an old warrior buck!!! No doubt that he out played more than a few hunters during his lifetime. As always you did an absolutely beautiful job with the mount. Really awesome work!

The sheds were chewed on a little but they grossed right around 150 as a mainframe 4×4. The beams and G3s were alot nicer on the sheds. He grossed like 153 nontyp...when killed. Believe me...our age structure out here is on par with the rest of rural NYS. It's not all widespread QDM with big bucks everywhere. The local processors look like little buck nurseries during gun season. We just have enough cover to allow a few bucks to make it to maturity.
