New pup.

Ok so wifee decided I needed a new pup.  Ellie my lab needs a playmate.... the wife needed another dog ... what ever the excuse is . 

We went today and looked at a litter of lab pups . We prefer females.  In the end we picked a little male. 

 

5 weeks old . Be 3 weeks before we can pick him up .

So we are working on a name .  We both kind of like Ruger. We are still thinking on it . 

If you would like,throw out some suggestions.

My Uncle Rodger had 2 black & tan coonhounds from the same litter...He named them Sooner and Later...

So far wife likes ruger and tracker shortened  to trax. Grand son wants bb-8 or vader...

While I like Ruger, it's getting too common as is Remi. 

How about Tika, or Henry? Both great firearm manufacturer's.

I have a good friend of mine that named his son( 7 months old) Henry.  

His dog is named Marlin. Lol

So, how about Marlin?

I really like that name.   Might have to borrow that name for the next fur baby.  

Can that be a female name?  We usually only get female's.

Our little Maltese is named Ruger. Saving “Gunner” for the next dog we get. How bout that one?

I guess part of the problem is we have had so many good dogs over the years in the family . We have used alot of the good dog names and wife doesnt want to reuse them..

I always thought if I got a lab his name would be Hoss.  But like the name Ruger for sure.  

I had a cocker spaniel I named shooter (after Waylon Jennings son, before all the chaos to that word)

One time I was up in the moose river plains fishing and he wandered off. Scared the crap out of me.  And I was yelling " shooter....shooter..." Which I realized later sounded like " Shoot her" . Lol.  Glad no one was around .....or they were and ran.

I gave up trying . Wife wants a new dog she gets it ... at best I can push it out for a while . The minute she gets her hands on a pup  and smells puppy breath its over.
