we have so many here commuting back and forth from Westchester and nyc to only be there as needed. others coming up here to have babies with a "support person". hospitals stopping that I guess. a lot of people up here ready to kick down the governor mansion doors to induce travel ban or restrictions at least. Governor says he'll have no part of it though.

another note it will be worth it to find an ag store and get that lawn crap cheaper. then again maybe they even know where they're located and price accordingly. lol

How do you know these people don’t own houses or properties “upstate” and pay taxes? I work with a handful of people who chose to have weekend houses in Catskills instead of Hamptons. They have every right to go to their homes.

I’d rather support my local Lowe’s and its employees. It’s 1 mile from my house. It’s the same price at Home Depot, etc.

I am part of a Sullivan county group on Facebook, you would be shocked or maybe not so shocked about all the posts in there telling 2nd home owners to stay out or all the racist comments about the chasidic Jews who have camps up there that they want to stay out.

And we're all just supposed to forget the SAFE Act, the dead economy in NY, the high taxes and huge deficit, the lack of businesses due to over regulation, his gun control dreams, his hatred of conservatives and straight white men, his bail reform fiasco and his overall corruption?  We're supposed to consider him to be a good candidate for President, because the main stream left wing media is making him out to be some kind of problem solver now? 

Every problem NY currently has was caused by this piece of dog crap.  His biggest city is the epicenter of the virus on the east coast.  He's not doing anything right.  All he's doing is flapping his gums and telling people it's all gonna be OK.  No thanks to him at all, but leftists and incompetent Democrats are great at taking credit for things they can't even understand.

Do all lives really matter to Cuomo ?   What about those who have not yet emerged from the womb ?    Trump's two picks for Supreme Court Justices are about as clear of proof imaginable that he really does care about ALL lives.

Cuomo couldn't care less about any lives.  If any virus infected individual tried to get within 10 feet of him, he'd tell his bodyguards to kill them with extreme prejudice.   Everything he does is a premeditated ploy to pander to his base.  

If the virus was out of control in upstate NY, he would impose a travel ban into the city in a heartbeat.

There is good in all people, and I see some in Cuomo during this crisis.  His comments about "a silver lining", which someone attached earlier on this thread, were spot-on.   My problem, is that he is on the wrong side on most of the issues that I care about, the chief of which is abortion.   Wis willingness to cooperate with Trump (even though it is out of desperation), during the Covid-19 crisis, gives me some hope that he might be able to alter his stance on the abortion issue.  

To me, that is far more important than Covid 19.  The numbers of lives ended in the US by abortion are staggering compared to those which may be lost in this country to the virus by even the highest estimates.   More than 10 times the number of unborn lives have been ended in this country, since Roe vs Wade (65 million), than the born ones who were exterminated by the Nazis during WW 2 (6.5 million).  Put that in your pipe and smoke it Democrats, and think about it in November when you cast your votes all.   If you don't buy my numbers then Google it.  The truth is difficult to hide in the information age.

I read that Rhode Island and New York are at odds with New Yorkers trying to flee to Rhode Island to get out of Dodge, due to the virus. Rhode Island Governor is blocking the flow of vehicles with NY plates into RI. Cuomo is suing RI because of this action.

Seem to recall Democrats saying, not too long ago down on the southern border that "it's not who we are as Americans" to deny illegals from crossing the US/ Mexico border, seeking a better life, and no barriers and stuff. What's wrong with RI blocking Americans now wanting to escape NYC and cross over into RI??? I just find it interesting watching Socialist/Democrats mostly starting to eat each other over boarder policy now. Did not seem to matter a little while ago.

People leaving NY State in droves...Now I read Cuomo is suing Rhode Island because RI is blocking  possibly infected virus carriers from NY from traveling into the state. Quite the unifier that scum Cuomo is.

People who seem to believe Trump is making things worse, must not know leftist Democrats blocked every move he tried to make in January and February to mitigate the impact of this pandemic in the US.  They may not know the relief package he wanted was stalled by leftists who wanted to load it up with a lot of their pet pork spending packages that had nothing to do with the pandemic.  They may not be aware leftists are using this pandemic to advance the leftist's favorite oppressive desires, like gun control.  They may not know they can choose more objective information channels on their TV set than MSNBC and CNN.

I don't see how Trump's suggestion about keeping people from traveling out of hot zones into cold zones makes things worse.  If anything, Cuomo's demand to let people travel into cold zones from hot zones is making things worse.  Cold zones do not have any cases of infected people until someone from a hot zone brings it there.  Using this pandemic to pander to your voting base, instead of making decisions based on what's good for all of America, makes things worse.  That's what Cuomo does.  He's not a leader.  He's a charlatan.

Just like Clinton and Arkansas, there is a way to get a different governor next year.  Based on the current foundering of Biden, I would not be surprised to see Cuomo emerge from the wreckage and become the Democratic candidate for President this fall.   I think they celebrated in Arkansas when Bill and Hillary moved up north to the big White house.
