Steuben Jerry
Agatina's. On the west side just a couple of miles down the road from North Chili. I always get the frog legs as an appetizer. Magnifique! https://agatinas.com/menu/ 1

2012_taco
If you're going to the Dino, just a heads up, check the Amerks schedule. That place is real busy about 1-2 hours before the game. 2

johnplav
I'll preface by admitting I don't know anything about the restaurants on West side of ROC. Decent "trendy" spots are good, but crowded later on weekends - Trata, Good Luck, Lento, Nosh Italian - we've been going to Fiorella Pizza and Burgers - The Gate House Mexican - La Casa < Selenas < Ox & Stone Also Mesquite Grill is very good on the East Side... so I guess I can recommend the original one in Gates
Nomad
Solid choices listed . For steak I’ve always likes Tournedos , it’s downtown ,behind Ch. 10 neat place . http://www.innonbroadway.com/Default.aspx?RD=2317 For something a bit different many like Good Luck ,in Village Gate in N.E. Roch. https://d1qmdf3vop2l07.cloudfront.net/loyal-window.cloudvent.net/compressed/_min_/07d748c288c8e1a6f7daf39470520a3a.pdf Another place in Village Gate is The Gate House , very good burgers, wood fired pizza and so on, just for another opinion . We often eat here before or after going to a play at the Auditorium Theater , if there’s a play, you may have trouble getting seats though . Same for Good Luck .http://thegatehousecafe.com/menu/ Honestly my best meals in Roch. Were in firehouses , so, it’s hard to recommend restaurants. Nomad
I’ve been to Trata many times , mostly for drunks passed out, gas leaks and so on . We ate there for the first time a couple weeks back, I was expecting a bit more on the menu myself , ended up getting a wagyu burger . I wonder how many times me and @Nomad have been in the same restaurant? I always forget about Tournedos. Theres actually a few other good places that are in hotels - Char at Strathallan, Grappa near Strong Hospital... even Amore thats connected to East Ave Wegmans is pretty good. Well I’m an East sider, and worked on N. Goodman for 14 years and University Ave for 14 , so I’m familiar and comfortable around there . I really liked The Brighton on East ave back in the day . I still have a hand full of drink chips from Nosh, the owner dropped them off at the firehouse . My daughters took me to Grappa for my birthday . We’re mostly at Pub 235 in Webster as it close and we always run into people we know there .
