In order pimento peppers, a lonely pablano, potatoes that something topped off, jalapenos, shishito peppers, 6'' tomato plants, and corn that half fell down.

Anybody know what eats potatoe tops? Anybody know why my corn fell down?

Biz, use a knife to harvest those zucchini, don’t twist them off.  Not sure why, but that and yellow squash are always harvested that way.

they look great and are perfect size!  Have you heard of zucchini noodles?  I have not tried them, but they look delicious.

IIRC Biz keeps his guns AND knives at his fathers during the off season.  It's going to be a "twist off" summer for Tommy........

I think he told us once that he gets manicures and pedicures, so I don't know if he qualifies as a "country boy"?     :)

Oh ok, thanks for the tip. I've had them, but don't love them. we eat enough veggies each week that we can eat real pasta once a week lol.

I have knives, pistol, and bow at my house. I don't store long-guns here except during hunting season since i don't have a large safe. I actually have a custom engraved bluewood Buck knife i got from my boss a few years ago i'll never use that i can use for the zucchini. OR my electric mister twister filet knife.

Nah. Never carried or my pistol actually. I like minimal things in my pockets. I don't even like carrying car keys, i usually hand them off to the wife.

No manis or pedis for me. Very common for men around here to get them. But i have never done it. I never got a massage either.

My apologies then.  I know there was a big conversation about this a while back and thought you said you got them.  Maybe it was Belo then.

Pygmy will be sending you your official "country boy" membership card soon.

Today’s harvest. I cut the zucchini per@Otto advice. The grape tomatoes were amazingly sweet. I expect the rest will be even better. These few stranglers were ahead of the rest.

Total YTD harvests:

6 zucchini
5 cukes
2 grape tomatoes
1 jetstar tomato
6-8 cups of basil

Biz, that zucchini looks a little fat. They are best when long and slender. Later in season it is hard to control, but pick early and often.

It’s only 6” I picked it right away. Bad genetics I guess, the rest are better. Here’s the lineup.

I don't give a shit...But with a hairdo like that, John Denver HAD to be a little light in the loafers....

As far as veggies go,  I have eaten about a dozen  cukes, half a dozen Zukes ( harvested small as Otto says...Never argue with a Sicilian about zucchinni, and I dug my garlic today, about 80 bulbs which were overall disappointing..A few dinks, a few jumbos, but mostly on the small side of medium.......  My pole beans are blossoming,  but no beans yet....

No manis, pedis, or massages  gives you  3  points on your Man Card.....Not carrying a jackknife  is a MINUS  2 points.....So you are still up a point.....You are still welcome to  have a beer and a shot with me... Farting a few times and scratching your balls in public might add a point or two.....

Pocket knife since I was 5 ... bb gun was at 4 . Carry pocket knife every day  . Carry concield when ever I go outside . No mani pedi messages ever . Pocket knife cleans and trims the nails .

Haven't harvested a thing from the garden . We have watermelons the size of baseballs . Tomatoes the size of tennis balls . No flowers on squash . Tons of flowers on cukes . No cukes yet . Peppers are healthy but small . I have a few plum tomatoes  but the plants might be a foot tall . I have been picking of flowers trying to get more growth . I had to buy some squash to fry for dinner .  No sweet corn available  local  yet .

I think we'll be digging our garlic this week. It looks to be the best crop we've had in quite some time. We irrigated it quite a bit the last 3 weeks.
