is that cam near water at all? looks like a beaver of some sort... not sure tho, ill have to keep looking at it. is it the darker image in the back ground your talking about?

yes...the darker image...i thought it could be a beaver as well...but how far will a beaver travel from water?  there are some small streams and a few ponds that are close to the area.  I would say the closest pond if probably 1/3 of a mile walk through the woods and its a pond that is surrounded by a swamp which no human can even get through.

I had a picture on my trail cam. of something all black like that only not as fat,a walking away shot.Nobody could guess what it was.And it was not near water.

Its either a coon or a Fisher , I have some trail camera pictures of Fishers , Friend of mine from the DEC confrimed that the pictures I have is a Fisher ...

John R. the tail does not appear to be long enough for a Fisher. (My buddy just called me up to his house about a week ago to look at an animal he got on his trail camera and I told him that it was a fisher and after a quick google search I confirmed my original guess.)
