First Rub Found

We were out doing our last set up checks. Found this.

Not sure of this counts but looks like someone had a good time!thinking maybe velvet rub

Finding a rub this early in my hunting area is a rarity. If I see one, usually chalk it up to a buck trying to remove their velvet and not so much a territorial marking. Very cool and assuming encouraging!

Yes! I have found a few already. I also have pics of 1 1/2 year olds sparing near the fresh rubs.

my hunting buddy found several a few weeks ago in 4F. It seems to me  that everything is early this year.

Haven't been out to check for rubs and don't plan on hitting the woods until friday maybe Thursday night

This is behind my house. Same area got rubbed up last year. Looks like he went for the same saplings and snapped them so he moved onto this one. Six saplings within 30 feet all from last and this year.

Checked cameras today and have about 50 pictures of 2 decent bucks going at it ,the ground was all beat up in front of the camera and had a strong hunch it was from bucks fighting .
