I like a traditional typical rack, so I'd let that go.

Usually a pen deer has a wider, thicker based rack, because of their diet.

That's an old deer too, not some young pen deer with a jumbo rack and usually they don't get that old in a pen.

I totally understand not wanting to give out his name or location.I gave out my name and area back in the 90's and it ruined it to this day.I still regret it not just for me but also the guys that hunted the area.

It's a sickness that has been going on for years, with the craze about big whitetails...

There was a guy in my hometown RIP who was obessed by big whitetails.. He had a collection of over 40 BIG  mounts, all 130 inches and up.....Claimed he had taken them all himself...Meanwhile, he was busy buying  big racks and capes wherever he could find them , including making trips to the midwest, and giving local taxidermist lots of business  mounting them for him...

The sad part was, he was a very accomplished deer hunter, and had taken several real nice heads himself, but nowhere near the number he had mounted...He had a story for each one of them, too....  He just wanted everyone to think he was the world's greatest whitetail hunter.....

I guess i'll never understand it. I don't have competitive bone in my body.I actually stopped hunting and fishing with a few guys that where to damn competitive.
