  1. Gman , that young man is going places in life. He is a self starter , smart , and motivated to be the best that he can be. Thats the stuff leaders are made of . We need more like him in this world. Congrats to him and everyone around him that inspired him to be the way he is .
  2. I wasn't sure whether I should post this in the " Lawn " thread and ruin your perfect green lawns or post it in the " Todays Chuckle " thread because Mother Nature sure has a sense of humor . Yesterday I moved my 4 wheeler out of the shed and put it in one garage. I get the riding lawn mower out, start it up and dusted it off and park it in the other garage Got the aerator ready to aerate and fertilize the lawn today . It rained last night and was drizzling a bit this morning. Out of freakin nowhere a few snow flakes started coming down . Figured it would end shortly . That " end shortly " turned into snowing a blizzard for the last 2 hours and still coming down. Since I took up both garages with the 4 wheeler and lawn mower , all the cars are covered with snow , my lonely aerator is stranded in the yard . Looks like our Azalea plants that have already flowered are loving the snow too . The good part is looks like I wont have to mow the lawn now until May !
  3. Welcome Back TF ! Great looking mount and story ! Beautiful rack on that buck ! Happy to hear you didn't get hurt in the " Deer Crash "
  4. Maybe this one should go in the " Garden Thread " LOL
  5. What ! And one of his famous homemade gourmet dinners didn't come with it ? What a cheapo ! LOL
  6. Do you wait a week or so after spraying it before tilling it up ? I only waited a couple days after putting the moss killer on last time . Then it spread everywhere I tilled over time. I read the instructions afterward that said to wait 2 weeks before doing anything . So I figure I'm the one that spread it around before the chems had a chance to kill it.
  7. Question for all you " Lawn Gods " . How the heck do you get rid of lawn moss ! I noticed a couple years ago one spot on the side yard started getting it . Now it spread to 4 times the size. I put moss killer on it last year and it did help a little bit. But now its the worst its ever been. I've read to spray laundry detergent or dish soap mixed in warm water on it and it will kill it. The moss killer I used was 20 bucks a bag that only covered 300 square feet and realistically never got rid of it. Now the moss is probably covering 2000 square feet
  8. Happy Birthday ! I Hope That A Big Cake Gets Delivered To Your Lair ! Just dont eat the delivery driver ! LOL
  9. No ! The tax payers of the United States paid the bill .
  10. Looks like an exit hole of a bullet wound to me . Now if Belo could get another picture of the other side of the deer. Im not ruling out Fibroma but it just doesn't look like that to me. Zoom in on it and you will see a white spot in the middle of the brown circle. That would be the exit hole with the dried up shredded meat around it. Seen a few of these and shot a couple deer that had that same wound. They survive that one every time. Bullet goes in just above the spine and goes right through the meat just under the fatty layer . It takes quite a while for that wound to heal but it doesn't affect the deer at all. One of the deer I shot that had that looked like at least a month old . It was infected and all crusty leaking out some fluid . No blood showing. Just crusty dried up shredded meat .The deer was fine out chasing Does . Well , he was fine till I shot him LOL . Those wounds look a lot lower on the body than they really are .
  11. Hot Dogs ! This was our Go To bait when fishing just for Bullheads .And you dont have to grill the hot dog either ! LOL Depending on the size of the hook you are using, and how big the Bullheads are where you are fishing . We sliced them from 1/4 to 1/2 inch depending on hook size. We rigged the line with either a slip sinker above a snap swivel or barrel swivel with the hook on a leader , or you can just use some good size split shot weights if you are tying the hook directly to the line . The kitchen gloves is a great idea for keeping the stinky slime off your hands and helps from getting harpooned by their dorsal fin dagger . Definitely need a hook remover like this cheapo plastic one . Those critters always swallow the hook and you have to pry their mouth open . They are delicious especially if you are catching them in cold water . https://www.amazon.com/Plastic-Fishing-Disgorger-Remover-Snelled/dp/B08NTHZNDS/ref=cs_sr_dp?crid=3LJ33YP01MKQQ&dchild=1&keywords=hook%2Bremover%2Bfishing&qid=1617806184&sprefix=hook%2Bremover%2B%2Caps%2C158&sr=8-30&th=1

  16. The problem is " You Haven't Seen Nothing Yet ! " Considering Biden is spending $200,000 housing and caring for each Illegal coming across the border now , that $20 grand sounds like a deal ! LOL Wondering if each convicted felon will be given a free handgun as an added bonus with the check
