LOL - my wife used to laugh and ask "well what would you have shot if you made those puts you should have made." I stopped explaining how great the round would have been "only if." Playing green lakes in Syracuse my second year, I had a crazy front 9 of 35 (even par). I promptly followed that with a 48 back nine. Golf is fickle game.

I think you will need longer screws and spacers. Call elite, I bet they have them. Some quivers don't fit well with the adjustable single pin sights.

I think most savages are more accurate than the shooter - at least if I am the shooter they are. lol -

Good shooting! -
Nice fish reeltime. Gotta love the dipsys. We run 4 riggers and I bet more than 1/2 of our fish this year were off the 2 dipsys we run.

WOW - that place has some monsters

Sounds like an unlawful taking to me. Rick, what was the purported bases for taking of your friend's guns?

Best of luck with your studies. You will find time to hunt later.

Looks like a woodchuck with a long tail.

That's good shooting Grizz. I would be nervous if I was on your hit list for sure.

Best Hunting Boots
moog5050 replied to NYBuckHunter27's topic in Hunting Gear Reviews and Gear Discussions
I really like my mucks. Very comfortable. They only last 2-3 seasons though, but that's long enough. The neoprene uppers tend to get holes from thorns, etc. If you are not hunting swamp land requiring high boots, I love my danners. The Lacrosse were really hard for me to put on and take off, but I have big wide feet. -
So, this is what I went with. Thanks to mbucks27, I was able to save an additional $87. Seems like a good laptop for $350ish. Thanks for all your suggestions. Well glad you are OK - bad scenario for sure.

If the Tikka fit the same mounts as the sako optiloks, they are a great ring/base combo.

Ugghh - hitting or being by a deer on the bike is one of my bigger concerns while riding. Only one time in a car for me.

I had a picatinny with EWG rings on my savage 220. I found it caused the scope to sit to high. Changed to the DNZ and have no complaints. All depends on how the pieces (scope included) fit together on your rifle. The picatinny is more versatile, but if you plan to simply mount and leave the scope, versatility makes no difference. The DNZ is a solid mount.

Thanks for all of the advice. I will check out the dell outlet and refurbs.

the skb cases are supposed to be good - never used one though

I hear the new rugers are really nice. I will also throw in a pitch for the CZ 450s. Great rifles for a very reasonable price.

12" is good. Is the difference between a "notebook" and laptop sonly screen size. I would actually prefer smaller. Just need the updated windows, etc for using gopro studio and word for word processing. I will look at the acers. I assume there is something pretty good in the 300-400 range. Thanks for the recommendation.

Looking to buy an inexpensive laptop for my son to complete school work and possibly some editing of film with my gopro. Don't want to spend much and hate computers. I usually stick to iphones, ipads and kindle since I am not IT savy nor do I have any interest to become so. That said, what's a decent cheap laptop in the $300 range. Everyone in the family has tablets for web surfing and I have a computer at work managed by people who know what they are doing, so it will have truly limited use. Tired of the viruses that come about when the kids download every game that catches their eye. My son's teacher recommended a chrome laptop. Thoughts?
