Ha me too , hey it’s only about 3 hours each way , if we drive together and each buy 2 or 3 hundred pounds it may work . But since there’s zero Troopers on the roads and many seem to be doing 90, we may cut it down to 2 hours .

That’s very good ! Really brings the price down , I should get a bigger freezer , load up on that for us and store some for our kids here . I really love chicken thighs on the grill !

Unemployment on steriods

Friend owns a factory , he was able to, keep half working ,as half his business is in defense contracts . The ones laid off are making more money then the working ones ! He’s going to pay them a bonus , as I sees the BS in this . -
That’s ok ,disinfect from the inside out !

Same with the product I buy online to save my ash trees . You can pay big bucks to have an arborist inject it into you trees, or buy the gallons of it and pour it into the ground around the tree yourself . A handful of counties near NYC banned the sale to individuals, my one order was canceled because of my NY address , I’m 300 plus miles away for those counties . Once Amazon got more in I had more in a couple days .

This is easy, there’s a blood shortage want to help folks around you step to the folding bed . I gave Monday .
-
Lol , the number of those questions I had to lie on .

All four barrels at that price seems pretty good . But I’ve got one day of experience with these lol . This one was free .... she just didn’t want it , “ toss it in the lake If you want “ was her response. The guy who,has after market buffers is taking orders , online but not working till the shutdown is lifted .
-
The first one they made , HK 4 , two barrels , .22 and .380 . Needs a new buffer , common with these old ones.

Thanks it was a good day , friend of wife ,didn’t want her husbands gun , so I got a HK in the safe now . I also gave blood today, as I heard there’s a shortage , apparently I won’t have to have as many beers tonight !

Things picking up 3 the other day , one nice one today . The balloons are on any land I walk , where I hunt , a few different roads . Today on my buddy’s land 30 miles away found one there too .

If this was an isolated incident, say the terrorists flooded NYC subway system with poison gas , I’d be 100% behind shipping everything upstate has that could help . Thats not the case there are very few “ extra “ ventilators up, here . Buffalo ,Rochester , Syracuse all said we need or will soon need all we have . The smaller rural county’s , many don’t have a hospital in the county ,those that do are very small , I’m not sure where all these extras are . My daughters hospital has around 100 ventilators , some are used by non Covid19 PTs, the number of Covid19 pts , on them started at 1 or 2 added a day , increased to 5 a day and has grown from there . Do, the math as they say . Theres a 270 some page report that came out in 2015, about NYS need to increase the numbers of ventilators by 16,000 to be prepared for a pandemic, at a cost of one half of one percent of the state budget . Andy declined , they did come of with an alternative plan , basically a death panel ,where folks will be color coded , red first in line for one , blue last , with green and yellow in between . The reports online , but it’s a slow read I skipped much of it . As far as nobody could predict this , every survival, website ,forum and magazine has been warning of this for some time now , the above report also warned of it , then there’s history as well .

Corona Virus Thread
Nomad replied to Al Bundy's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Daughters hospital has 22 covid pts on them and it’s increasing 5 per day and ( I’d wager that rate increases sharply ) that’s not counting the other PTs on them . So today having a number not in use , doesn’t mean they all won’t be needed here in a week . If they were truly “ extras “ , sure have some . I plead guilty , I care most about my family , Co- workers , friends ,neighbors . I’d like to have them available for folks here like my daughter who starting tomorrow it seems will be working directly with covid PTs, my former co workers on the FD, my wife who’s over 65 and has lung issues , it’s as simple as that . So the state will run out of them in six days , by taking “ ours “ it sure seems to me like he’s picking and choosing who lives . They’ll all be in use in six days ,so we’re taking yours now ! -
Corona Virus Thread

https://thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/491009-cuomo-order-new-york-commandeer-ventilators-protective-gear Cuomo says the state will run out of ventilators in six days, then signed an executive order allowing him to seize them from upstate and bring to NYC . He’s using the National Guard to move them, in case any of you upstaters get any ideas about where you fall in the hierarchy. -
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) on Friday signed an executive order that would let the state take ventilators and personal protective equipment (PPE) from hospitals and medical institutions and redistribute them to places that are in dire need. The governor said at his daily press conference that the National Guard would be mobilized to transport the ventilators to where they are most needed. "We do not have enough ventilators. Period. I am signing an Executive Order allowing the state to take ventilators and redistribute to hospitals in need," Cuomo tweeted. Just great , my daughters hospital has 90 is currently using 17 on corona PTs and increasing daily , let’s hope when the we reach the apex of the curve we can get them back ...... Ya right . He says the state will run out of ventilators in SIX DAYS, so I guess we’re screwed up,here . Plus using the National Guard , no wonder he closed down the gun shops .

Agree, I miss the gym, but I’ve been getting by at home with a chin up bar ,one kettlebell, a length of RR track ,and a 45# vest . I considered going back to,the firehouse I retried out of as they have a decent gym , but with the decon process they’re doing daily there , I didn’t want to add to that burden . Which is funny since I always , at the start of my shift ,sprayed the phones , keyboards , doors, remotes ,handles and so on . At the gym for years Ive sprayed and wiped down the equipment before and after I used it , washed my hands on the way out , and opened the door with my foot , then washed again when I got home . Ive always been a trail blazer , I should be on a stamp or something ( just don’t lick it .)
-
But hey , liquor stores are still open ( one by me sales are up 60% .) Underground clubs and gyms are running like the speakeasy’s of 100 years ago, folks gotta get their drink on ,muscle heads need their pump, and the milfs got bikini season approaching , you ain’t stopping those folks .

I broke my last 12 pack out last Friday, when we had friends over for euchre .

G -man , is right . Also one of my favorite posters , that just makes sense , what the property holds determines if it’s a “ shooter “ along with the hunters objective . I almost miss the days when we shot the first buck that walked by , and were happy about it ! The whole “ hit list “ and “ shooter buck “ leaves me a little uneasy at times .

Thanks funny . My buddy bought a 16ga JC Higgins bolt action in high school ( 70s) used for $17 . He was still killing deer with it up to a few years back . its the Indian not the arrow .

Should be a lot of boats for sale cheap pretty soon .

1,988 , Yukon River somewhere between Quite Lake and Carmachs , you can see it’s about 2x the width of my track . It was good I was so tied from paddling all day ,that I fell right asleep each night , no time to worry about being a midnight snack . That and keeping a clean camp, cooked our fish down wind from camp didn’t sleep in the clothes we cooked and ate in and so on .

Rattler , good for her ! Steve the schedule does suck IMHO, but after a few years you can often land a day job . My daughter works pre / post op. Straight days no ,nights, week ends or holidays. Since most elective surgery is put on hold , she’s home many weeks , either on call , or working on required annual course work . Full pay . The hospital is not putting her unit to work on the floors , to keep a group of RNs isolated from it , incase a large group goes out with it I guess .

Second time out and zippo . Lots of snakes and two Mylar balloons , I find those things each time out . I can’t believe no sheds !

Yes and no for me . Guns are tools not to much different then a shovel or hammer . Awhile back I sold off some long guns I never used anymore my ML, Turkey gun and my Fathers and Grandfathers guns . I owned my dads and grandfathers guns for decades , never took them out of the safe , when my Dad gave me his , he told me to sell them and buy something I wanted . I have his WWII dog tags and the flag from his brothers casket ( Kia WWII ) those I’ll never part with .
