  1. Onondaga County does as well. I bought a bunch of trees from them last year and they were much better quality than the DEC. http://www.ocswcd.org/tree-sale.html
  2. Yes, i agree, we only used the canned chicken in a pinch. Last night we were in a pinch.

  4. 10 oz can chicken drained 4 oz cream cheese 1/2 cup franks hot sauce 1/2 cup blue cheese or ranch dressing or combo of both cooked in sauce pan over stove. Dipping items of your choice, the scoop Fritos are pretty good!

  6. Happy Birthday you Turkey! He’s probably at the Goat getting wings and beer.....
  7. Tim's Guns in Elbridge (between Camillus and Auburn) is a nice shop, good selection very helpful staff. Ra-lins in Syracuse is ok, but only of you are in the immediate area. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  8. This was one of the nicest gifts I got because my wife made it for me herself. It's an old book that has the pages folded so that it shows a 3d image of a buck and a doe. It also has a fabric camo cover. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  9. Happy Birthday to you! Hope you have a great day!

    Beer

I bought these growlers in October at Moose Head Pottery in Erie, PA., my earliest Christmas gift buy ever. I had them filled this morning at Empire Brewing in Syracuse with Live and Let Rye IPA. One for me, one for my buddy. Looking forward to a nice Christmas Eve! Merry Christmas everyone!
  11. So sorry to hear this, condonalnces to you and your family. What an amazing life he must have led!
  12. If you have Amazon Prime, try The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. I watched the whole series last week and found it pretty funny. I did like Peaky Blinders but dropped it after the second season. May try it again for season 4.
  13. Goosifer, If you would share the Osso Bucco recipe I would appreciate it! My friend and I have 6 shanks saved especially for that dish, but have never made it before. Thanks, Otto
  14. Maybe it will be his personality that sets it....
  15. Beautiful! My daughter just adopted a beagle pup a few months ago, very charming little dog! Take your time on the name, it will suddenly appear to you what the obvious choice is.

    Beer

What does the lactose do to the beer? Make it creamy?
  20. No trail cam pics to load, but i am just tracking my hunting during the gun season: Sat 11/18 Opening Day, hunted 6:30 to dark. Saw the wide rack first thing in AM and my buddy bumped him again that afternoon. Shot by Nieghbor later that day. Buddy shot his first buck that day too, 5 minutes after legal light. Names newly placed stand “Sardinia”. It’s in an island in the middle of an alfalfa field. Sun 11/19 Still hunted swamp trail 9am to noon, saw one deer, unknown if doe or buck. Sat in 20 point stand from 2:30 to dark, no deer seen. Mon 11/20 Sat in Sardinia from 3:00 to dark. Saw a doe with smaller deer at 4:25pm, shot and missed. Tracked her for half an hour, no blood, no running. Tue 11/21 Sat in 20 pt stand, 3pm to dark no deer seen at all. Wed 11/22 Did not hunt. Thurs Thanksgiving: did not hunt (lazy, no excuse) Fri 11/24 Hunted 6:30am to dark, 1 hour break at lunch. Started in 20 pt stand until 10am, then still hunted until 1pm. Sat from 2 until dark in 20pt stand, no deer seen at all. Sat 11/25 did not hunt - had chores to do and 2 family parties. Sun 11/26 hunted from 6:30 to dark, 3 hours break for dinner at noon. Sat in ground blind in morning, then 20pt for afternoon hunt. No deer during legal time, went to drop my backpack down from the tree and a young doe is 10 years from my stand. Stare down for 15 min, then she calmly walks away. Walking back home, i spot the doe and yound deer from Monday feeding near pond. Walked within 10 yards of her, wind in my face. Backed out and walked around the pond to front of property, she kept feeding. Will update as season goes.
  21. Looks like a perfect day, nothing so far. Hoping for a it can all change in a second events! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  22. My friend cut the youngest out of his buck on opening day. He said he was going to boil it and then drop it in ice water to remove the outer layer. Then he is going to smoke it, not sure if he will brine it first, or if it will be seasoned before or after. He said it was detailed on a Meateater podcast.
  23. I saw that. Me and Eva in a blind....no need for heaters, just saying.....
