Yeah I wouldn't screw around with something you know isn't working the way it should. I would go get a new pin and have that confidence that it will work when you need it to.
I carry a pack with extra handwarmers, gloves, firstaid kit and the food. Typically 2 sandwiches, 2-3 candy bars, mtn. dew, water, chips and a nutri grain bar.
I am not on this site as much as I should be. There are some of the best debates on this site and some of the bickering that happens between members is just hysterical. I am on this site just about everyday from the middle of August until the end of January. Hell I have more posts on this site than I do the huntingpa website.
Yes I don't think I would enter the building with a deer in it. I would have opened a door and stepped out of the way and hoped that the deer would get out by himself.
I just washed a load today. I am sure that I will have one more load to wash before the gun season kicks off.
Fletch is there a laundry mat close by that you can atleast wash them and let them air dry?
DOM I couldn't agree more. I would make those teenagers do atleast 1000 hrs each of communtiy service on the farm. I would also like to see them not allowed to purchase or be in possession of a firearm for atleast 10 years.
I agree with you 100%. They are good to have for protection/notification purposes but I would never train one to attack.
I work side by side with 2 k-9 teams. They are fun to watch but I would not want to be on the receiving end without the bite suit. The dogs and their handlers go through hundreds of hours worth of training.
Well I am usually fortunate enough to get 1 deer but the past year or two the wife has been pestering me to try to get another deer. So with the family growing I need 2 deer to get through the year. (The good news is I will be able to go hunting more)
Some day I hope to own a hunting camp. They are all great places and would take anyone of them. I am jealous of all. Never had the oppurtunity to experience deer camp (in an actual camp). Hope to someday with my boys.
They are one ugly animal. Never really got to see one play dead. I hit one with the car lastnight and I couldn't get him to play dead or be dead. But that is a good picture and too bad it wasn't on video.
Culver I had never heard of that disease. You would think that information like that should be published somewhere to just give the hunters a heads up. I have eaten quite a few rabbits over the years. Now I have gotten some pretty bad rashes (believed to be poison oak or sumac) on my hands after skinning rabbits. One has to wonder if maybe the rabbits were carrying that disease and I was having a reaction to it. But yes wearing rubber gloves is a must when field dressing a rabbit.
