  1. Grandson is ripping it up in A1 Travel ball. Batting over 500. Three for three tonight. And made a couple sweet plays at 1st.Love our home field. First hit down the left field line.Second hit pulled to right field. Last hit to right center.Inside pitch, watch it all the way to the glove. We won 9 to 4 over a very good Albany team.
  2. This is what I do if I'm making my goulash. Onions, peppers, garlic, about five different spices and seasonings. And ground venison!! Have had so many people that 'don't eat venison', tell me 'man, this is awesome'!!! Most times I don't spoil it for them, just smile and say thanks! Enjoy! But of course my wife only makes "Her" sauce from scratch.
  3. On Sacandaga I like Laskies Grove to launch, down in Mayfield. I NEVER-EVER go to the state launch on Saratoga!!! Always, South Shore Marina. And never a state launch anywhere on a weekend if I have another option. Some of the dumbest things I've seen humans do, have been at a state boat launch. A tournament is the place to see maximum efficiency for loading and unloading boats. I've seen 40 or 50 boats launched in half an hour or less.
  4. Really nice of you! Way to go!

I shot one last year at the club range that belonged to another member. We traded rifles for a few shots. Was chambered in 270. I liked it very much and it shot great. A bit different from my Sako, feel wise, but still VERY nice. It grouped as well as mine too at 117 yards. Well worth it, even if you pay the full $500 I think.
  6. I certainly will. Most of my shooting will be in the back yard or over to the club. But a 3D shoot or two will be great practice, towards the end of summer.
  7. I'll be out there real soon flinging arrows ! The fun is back big time, with my new to me Obsession Phoenix bow.
  8. All I can say is WOW!!!!! Some great early buck pic's! I'd have a warm and fuzzy feeling, if I saw that kind of potential this early on our land.
  9. He really did Jay. I have never been a Red Sox fan. But have always respected David Ortiz as a player and person. He single handedly put my Yankees to bed on many occasions! Still, I always enjoyed watching him play.
  10. Get well soon Big Papi. He was shot in the Dominican Republic. Expected to be ok.
  11. No doubt that was a great time! Good crew right there! Here's to you guy's!!!
  12. I have that same burner! Have had it for years.
  13. Looks to be in really nice shape! Heck,.....the motor alone is worth 4k!! The canvas work looks sweet too. If you are looking to get another boat, this would be a good one. The fish and ski is a great option, for family fun, or a day fishing with your buddy. Best of both worlds. Let us know how ya make out Jerry.
  14. Actually since I was just a pup, there have been stories of big cat sightings amongst the hill town folk. But for more than half a century, I've roamed the ridges, fields, swamps, gullies, nooks, crannies and woods up here and have never seen a clue of one. Even my hunting partners father, who lived his whole life on the land I hunt claimed to have seen one out back, twenty or so years ago. This man was a no BS farmer, who never drank a drop of alcohol, and had no reason to make up a story. And who couldn't tell a lie, if he wanted to. But between his son and I, we have spent countless hours out there, and seen nothing of the sort. Bobcats, yes. We've always had plenty of them. But old Bill said "it damn sure were'nt no bobcat"!!! He would have known. He trapped quite a bit in his younger years. So..........who knows. I'll still only believe it if I see it.
  15. Heading out to get mine done. My backyard was a cow pasture until a few years ago. Never put anything on it or water it. The front, I've played around with a bit. But I'm no landscaper. My wife bought me this little sign years ago.
  16. DEC actually put out a notice on this. Kinda strange. Last year John, I talked to a couple guys who claimed to have seen one not far from where you and I hunted together. Both are respectable, and lifelong outdoorsmen. Both said they felt ridiculous even telling me about it. But were sure of what they saw. (They live about five miles apart, and don't know each other well) I've known both of them for most of my life. And believe they saw "something". Not sure if it was a Mt Lion or not though. I'd have to see one myself to believe it.
  17. Great looking boat!!! You guy's will have a blast fishing out there. I would suggest a transom saver for the motor though.
  18. Might be safer to hunt Grizz. What would be the best firearm for hunting the Wolpertinger?
  19. I agree 100% my friend. I've found for the most part you get back what you put out. My wife and I are always trying to think of a new place to go visit. Geneva sounds like a good place!!!!
  20. Us "bassholes" have already found all the "greatest spots"! The key is to "race" to...... and fish, as many of them as as possible. All while pissing off as many other boaters as possible. Well....except maybe the jet ski's.
  21. Congrats John!!! That is one cool and fast ride!! Hope you don't get a speeding ticket!! ..........................
  22. Happy Birthday!!! Wishing you all the best Bob.
  23. My best pick up was my wife. My worst, was thankfully better than Pygmy's........lmao! I'm still laughing over that one! You are the best Dan.
