Natural funnels from bedding to feeding...doesn't matter what they go to to eat the come back to bed. And funnels due to terrain, top or bottom of ravine, or cover type, thicket to open woods line. Deer follow these all the time year round!

Looks good, will look a lot better in spring for sure.

I've seen the same thing happen and just had a friend in greenwood have almost same thing happen to him... Lol.... plop...look is a squirrel!!

Honestly, for lift capacity , gal per min on pump, weight of tractor, and cost. Kioti is by far best bang for the buck. (I've looked for myself and 2 friends in last 3years and we've all bought kioti, after loong ad jd,new holland, bobcat, massy, koubota, and mahindra) plus great warranty, and can get free loader during promotions. 0% INTEREST

Teach us old wise ones, how do you "old tops" prep for the season.
G-Man replied to burmjohn's topic in Deer Hunting
Something that will help you in future season , is when you take a deer when there is snow. After finding your deer, follow its tracks backward starting from where u shot it. Learn where it came from what it was doing, did you find its bed? Do this to every deer you can and you will unravel feeding patterns/bedding areas/natural movement and forced movement patterns. All of which will put you ahead of the game for following seasons, allowing for less intrusive scouting.although the deer you track is dead others will do the same year after year. -
Against my better judgement a redskin helping a wildcat I sent a pm....lol

Timeline for processing deer in the warmer weather
G-Man replied to Dorsilfin's topic in Bow Hunting
I can see that during gun season they are just an assembly plant... but bow not many to cut and do a good job. Gun season I'll do myself all the time -
i had one i hit high go 60 yards no blood, found her 3 days later not 10' from where i walked by 100x looking, early season is tough lots of green.
-
High shot no blood for 50 yds or more, really look in am where she ran toward.Don't muck Around in the dark, look good and hard in am. You may find small tuff of hair where she was standing or arrow, but good chance of high hit=little no blood for quite a ways.

nice, stll warm out... i'd leave that area alone till you see some daylight movement

the problem with borrowing a tractor is they develope quirks that the owner know and you may not. and if it breaks its on you.. friendships can be lost over it. if you like jd's look used, there is a reason you neighbors have tractors... you will want one for sure. i had a friend that started with a utv and finially bought a tractor, the utv now sits till his grands kid come out and take it for a joyride..

i agree with everthing people have posted as its my own experiance as well. i just wonder how many hunters out out there touting ar's passing up deer and have little or no experiance and are missing the enjoyment and growth i've experianced myself. and do not know what they are missing... there is more to hunting to experiance than the size of a rack,or i should say worring about the size of a rack.

There are many things that have been edited or cut or misinterpreted through the years. Ben Franklin didn't want the wild Turkey as the national symbol, he was just against a scavenger like the bald eagle. His turkey comment was taken out of context. Just as the media does today... if you want to be informed look something up or read it yourself. The star spangled banner was a poem, music was added later....

a 1.5 or maybe 2.5 either way great potential. if your going to take a small buck (1.5year old) take a spike, yes I know a spike can grow up an be awesome but that is an if. a 1.5 year old 8 pt has awesome potential, already has good nutrition and will be at least an 8 the next year unless it suffer some kind of injury. that spike may be a 2.5 ear old 6pt the following year, but an 8 at 1.5 may be bigger but at least an eight. that is the problem with antler point restrictions. you remove the healthiest most promising 1.5 year olds. the 8 in your pic would be fair game under a 3 or 4 pt rule.. while it holds much more potential than an unknown spike.

Just wondering for those of you that pass up bucks waiting for a big one, if you find it easier to do if you have already taken a bunch of little buck or gotten a t good one 125in plus? i think it is and for those that wait for a big one without ever shooting one..are you missing a hunting experiance/growth step?

cool greece buck, shooter? can anyone age him?
G-Man replied to doecomander's topic in Trail Camera Pictures
if hes in the top 20% you have in your area , take him... scores all all subjective. he might be the best available, or the biggest you've taken. what your happy with... guess 3.5 now hard to tell dark pic.and no body to judge.... -
not my line of work but nessisity when using old equipment, for example, that piece cost me 100,00 bucks, a used piece double cultipacker goes for 2000.00 i'd rather weld a little and save the 1900.00 bucks
