ADK Native
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/hero-armed-citizen-in-mall-stopped-shooter-police-chief/ar-AAZGfGN?ocid=SL5GDHP&li=BBnb7Kz A sad and senseless loss of life caused by some evil coward wanting his five minutes of fame. Fortunately, a law abiding armed citizen did not wait like the COWARD cops did in Uvalde, Texas who sat on their brains while innocent lives were being murdered and injured. They were not brave or smart enough to go into action. A good guy with a gun stopped the killer, NOT all that GUN FREE ZONE, along with the SAFE Act and numerous gun control laws.

ADK Native
Witness to Indiana mall shooting praised for killing gunman https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/witness-to-indiana-mall-shooting-praised-for-killing-gunman/ar-AAZHKEm?ocid=SL5GDHP&pc=SL5G&cvid=6d623253664548fd8d74feb6a7aea7d4 The article states “It is rare for a bystander to stop a mass shooting in the United States, according to an analysis by the New York Times. The newspaper showed that only 22 gunmen in the 433 shooting attacks since 2000 were shot by a bystander.” So why does not the New York Times elaborate on why “it is rare”? Could it be nonsense restrictions and prohibitions (GUN FREE ZONES, discriminatory process to not issue permits for self-defense, etc.) placed on law abiding citizens to even carry a concealed weapon? Is it the twisted judicial system that sees criminals as “victims” and is incorrectly concerned about their rights? You can NEVER get the anti-gun/pro-control advocacy to ever listen to the root causes of PEOPLE VIOLENCE. It would simply expose the false information they have been spreading. Proof is Governor Hochuls statement: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/kathy-hochul-says-she-doesn-t-need-proof-that-gun-control-keeps-anyone-safe/ar-AAZ379t The article states “New York Gov. Kathy Hochul declared that she didn’t need any statistics to justify preventing people who qualify from acquiring concealed carry permits. “ Hochul does not care about the facts, only her anti-gun owner opinion. DoubleDose
Let's play this out in NYS. Hero citizen gets immediately arrested for felony firearms violation (carrying where there were no signs allowing carry), pistol permit revoked, homicide charges, and bail set at $1M.
Grouse
14 hours ago, BowmanMike said: So you are for more government control? Hear hear... Are you really that inane? The government's first priority is to protect it's citizens from the unlawful. Requesting they do just that isn't giving them more control, it's holding them accountable for doing exactly what they're supposed to control. That mall happened to be a "Gun Free Zone" and the hero was carrying there illegally. He was arrested and handcuffed at the scene and only released after the videos there were viewed and proved he was a hero. He resisted illegitimite government control. Thank God he did, because the abusive government control of guns there would have gotten many more people killed. I don't want more government control. I want the government to control only what the Constitution has approved it to. By your "Hear, hear" comment, it's obvious you support totalitarianism.

It might be awhile before the gov't gets total control here, so why lose out on cherished slave time and go to a socialist country that's looking for another brain dead slave ?
Nomad
The guy who stopped the shooter broke no laws in carrying in the mall . People need to understand the laws Vs. Mall policies .

Not exactly, the Mall's rules state no firearms, but Indiana law only allows a violator of these rules to be removed from the property and trespassed. Basically, the same rules currently for New York State. After September 1st, however it will be a felony...
9jNYstarkOH
Looks like it was 15 seconds between the shooter coming out of bathroom before being engaged by the armed citizen constitutionally carrying from the law that came into affect July 1st.

Grouse
It seems leftists are have fits because the leftist main stream media is calling the man a "Good Samaritan". Coming from folks who don't believe in religion at all, they claim a "Good Samaritan" would never kill someone. I too believe it's a misnomer. He should be referred to as a HERO! GreeneHunter
Might sound like a stupid question so here goes .... Are there currently Signs that state " Guns are allowed on this Property " ? I'm talking about private property where I invite friends to hunt my property ! I would think that posting signs like that would get unneeded attention , kinda like an open invitation to trespassers !

Nytracker
Just thinking ... so I put up a sign on my property saying guns permitted so my son and best friend can carry and hunt.... did I just give permission to anybody with a gun to trespass and hunt on my property? You know some dirt ball is going to use that defense to illegal hunt and trespass.

I stopped at my LGS yesterday and asked about the new gun rules and ammo background check and he shrugged his shoulders and said he didn't have any answers. Told me he had been on the phone trying to find information and he is as lost as he was before he started. He recommended joining SCOPE. Said he got more info there than any where else but still didn't amount to much because the state doesn't have a clue either.
Robhuntandfish
I've heard that pistol applications might be put on hold across the state for 6 months cause no one knows what to do with these new laws or if the process in place now will be legal as of Sept 1. Hopefully ammo sales aren't gonna be the same way......Sent from my motorola edge 5G UW (2021) using Tapatalk
