mike103
Well for the rest of us who don’t own all the guns we want, don’t reload and don’t live close to the PA boarder these new laws are unconstitutional, un-American and a huge pain in the ass. I want to be able to walk into a store near me and buy a firearm and ammo any time I damn well please. And why shouldn’t I?! 7
Robhuntandfish
And how long is it before there is a law that you cannot cross the NY state border with a gun? I would say sometime in the first two years of Hochuls re-election. Sent from my motorola edge 5G UW (2021) using Tapatalk

And no need to take out your frustration on me . But I will say either people need to get out and vote to change this , or take matters into their own hands and as I said head to the border to buy ammo etc. or start reloading, we all knew this crap was coming . ridgerunner88
We should do what the truckers did in Canada and what African Americans did in the South during the Civil Rights Movement... a peaceful revolt.. If we can convince all of, or at least a very high percentage of hunters to stop hunting, it will mess up the wildlife population and create issues that directly affect our liberal neighbors... refuse to hunt until they take back these blatant unconstitutional rules If would suck not to hunt but not as much as it sucks to lose our freedoms... They would just hire sharpshooters like they do now for many areas. Or use deer sterilization. mike103
Not taking anything out on you just pointing out that not everyone lives where you do and has the time and skill set to reload all the ammo they want. I have a home in Florida that I use to buy all the ammo I want. But not everyone has a second home in a free state. So you and I have unique circumstances that not everyone else has. I work hard to keep the 850 members of my club in ammo so they can enjoy our clay venues. It’s a daunting task.
Nomad
Maybe finally some hunters and gun owners in general will start to wake up , but I’m not to optimistic, perhaps if all stores stopped selling it , that could be the best motivator ! We saw this coming for years , yet there are still guys without ammo , when I see it I buy it , granted I have a source most don’t , but I buy at box stores as well ,and I’ve bought a lot online . I bought a semi auto rifle just before the law took effect as well , when we go to Fla boxes start showing up at the condo in about three days . Ive been telling folks for years, if they even think they at some point may want a pistol to get their permit right then and there , as it’s never going to be made easier , good luck with that now . That is all short term , we ( gun owners ) need to all vote and support gun rights groups for long term success.

I can remember many discussions on here about AR15 laws and bans, and quite a few members saying they didn’t care because it didn’t affect them. Many of us said it was only a matter of time before it did. We were basically called crazy. Who’s crazy now?

That’s why I almost wish they’d stop selling hunting ammo , just so perhaps They’d begin to understand they’re after all guns and all gun owners .

I like your spirit, but this could all too easily backfire and do irrepairable damage. I've been saying for years that, while the firearms are protected, the ammo isn't. If the lib's have their way, our guns will be reduced to expensive clubs.

I'd be ok just bowhunting, but I think I have to buy my regular season to do that anyhow. Plus most of the money goes to conservation, plus the dems would take this as a double win. After they get the ammo, guns, black Powder, crossbows, compounds, traditional, then they will take your knives. No hunting for you comrade. Only the party leaders will go afield. You will be building solar panels and drinking government vodka.

With all the new requirements, many stores will simply stop selling ammo, that’s pretty clear and those that do will pass on the increased costs to the buyer .

Nomad
Heard a guy on the radio , said Cabellas ? In Buffalo , ammo roped off, one employee monitors it and let him go get his ammo . Then two more employees , one takes your info and records that along with caliber, manufacturer , amount and lot number , the last one did the sale . That’s currently three employees just for a box ammo . It’s also surprising that Dicks policy isn’t uniform across the state .

Just went to a shop that sells to military and first responders only so it’s pretty controlled to begin with you have to get buzzed in ect , ammo is now behind a counter , worker gets it for you . At point of sales, instead of showing just my work ID it’s my DL they record that info along with occupation .
