I think what bothers me and most about Piers (who is entitled to his opinion) is that he's not a US citizen. Commenting on our amendments, let alone being a citizen of the country we fought to gain them is just ludicrous. You don't have to like our amendments. You're not a citizen. Go home. Top Gear is one of my favorite shows on TV and when Clarkson punched his ass, there was nothing sweeter.
