Venison Applesauce MeatloafIMG_7531.thumb.JPG.d47f3a81290b44d6d97a24ab85e61d7d.JPG

It was OK but I did not really taste the applesauce, perhaps it needs more.IMG_7528.thumb.JPG.480785f56cc0f532e0f356a84d482084.JPG

if you bumped the amount of applesauce and maybe went with a chunkier variety of “sauce” I wonder if that would give more/better apple flavor- maybe dice up a Granny Smith in there too.

The applesauce meatloaf looks great, and the additional suggestions to enhance some apple flavor seem to fit the bill nicely

Great looking dinner right there

cold rainy day so a soup was in order. Vegetable stock, sauerkraut, potatoes, ham, better then ham bouillon, carrots, simmered all morning. Italian bread with butter to compliment Yum.

Made sweet and sour chicken. Also make Philly Cheese Steak Soup and Venison Chili with some leftover venison hot dogs from last year.

You'll never see lettuce and tomato on a beef n weck in Buffalo....although it looks good.....never seen it served like that locally.

Lettuce and tomato were removed by me, after pic . This Pub we went to used to be an ice cream “stand” and they branched out into roast beef sandwiches to,keep busnesss going off season , they did pretty well too.

The Pub kept one sandwich on the menu as a tribute to the old place , which was a popular Webster spot.

Exactly, you asked for a sandwich, not a salad, keep their brush to themselves!  Love it.

I also tell the waitress when they bring me water that " I'm thirsty not dirty, bring me a beer".

Just made venison sausage and potato chowder.   With white and yellow corn, scallions, asparagus and carrots.  Warm up the soul weekend winter food.  One of my favorites.

I had a polish sausage soup earlier this week that was good. It as half creamy, half brothy. Pretty good. I will try to replicate it at some point.

Giving the venison sausage a dance on the grill

They were better but still not amazing- I think I used too much garlic and the pork I used was too lean. Trial and error...more error than I hoped though!!!

What can you tell me based on the cross-section? Grind too fine for sausage?

Some venison burgers as backup!!
