Do you guys use lifelines when climbing ladder stands

I’m super paranoid so I’m harnessed and hooked to a lifeline before my feet leave the ground.

Then I’m also hooked to a tree strap as soon as I’m seated.

I see lots of guys that don’t use lifelines for ladder stands

No . I don't use a treestand unless I have my safety harness on but I don't use a lifeline .

So you just hook up at the top ?

No life line but harness when in it. It's not a bad idea. I fell two years ago climbing down. Probably 8 foot or so landed on my side. Arm was sore along with neck but I was fine.

yes. I lost the old saying of 3 points of contact. One hand slipped the other was not on the rail.
