Albany county deer

I heard this buck was taken in albany county.  I don't know if it is true or not.  Has anybody seen this picture before?

I would doubt that this deer was shot anywhere in NYS.  My hunch is that this deer isn't dead at all.  Maybe just tranquilized and being transported to another deer farm where these type of freak antlered deer usually live.

unless this deer was walking in open fields or down 4 wheeler trails he wouldnt have made it through any of the thick stuff around my house.

well if it was shot they loaded it on a truck without gutting it. look at how the abdomin is all full and high. I sure would like to see something like that in the wild once.....even off season

That's why I suggested that it wasn't even a dead buck!  He might be on his way to the sperm milker!!

that deer looks photoshopped. right antler midway looks weird. i doubt that deer is real and deff doubt it is a NY buck...

That's too bad ...... Another year and that deer would have been mature and ready to harvest. Just another victim of the "brown & downers"

My buddy sent me this picture via phone, said it was taken in Westerlo, close to the alcove.  Deer that size are possible down there, 5th all time heaviest white tail in NYS was taken there at 437 lbs in the 80's.  And things are still green down there.  But, note the leaves in the background....... looks more like an early season Ohio buck to me.

I didn't want to bring it up here until it started showing up on the internet.  He said in his text "Was sent to me from someone who knows the guys family who shot it."  Take it with a grain of salt, these things are always a friend of a friend, but my friend is generally a very reliable individual, and a great hunter.  It is interesting to see it come up from another source though!

437 pounds....and it's number 5. ??? ??? ??? I have never heard of a whitetail that big that was actually confirmed

I hunt only 15 minutes from westerlo that deer was not killed in albany county .    people who think that they are that big down here are crazy if you get lucky you might get a deer that will score in the 130's p&y but they are very phew and far between

my dads friend got that picture texted to him from a friend who "shot" it. I ended up with th picture on my phone and it is the same exact deer but i think the truck was blue in the pic I had. I was told it was shot in kingston but i thinks its a photoshop job.

If that buck was shot in NY you'd have heard about it!! There isn't a heck of a lot of secret buck kills out there... I meant legal buck kills

Take a look at the deers body in the truck.. there is no way that deer weights 437 lbs.. I saw an alberta buck that weight 305 in person and you wouldn't have been able to put him in that truck :-\

  The people that say they saw or there deer was 200+ pounds goes with the grain of salt saying.  I have shot deer and people say that that is a 180 pound deer right there and I am like I doubt it turns out to be 130 pounds on the sclae and they just look at me like I hit them in the jaw with a right hook.  I was fortunate to take a 185 pound 9 pointer (dressed) once in 14 years of hunting I know what he looked like and some of these guys who have there pic up and say it was a 200 pound deer are crazy.  Like I said before take it all with a grain of salt.
