I was at my parents house for Xmas and came across a bunch of old hunting pics. These 4 pics are all from the Catskills.

1952 - my grandpas friends 11 pointer. The guy who shot this nice buck had 1 arm.

1963 - my grandpas 6 pointer

1976 - my Dads 8 pointer

1984 - my Dads 8 pointer (no brow tines)

Scoped Savage 99 in that 1st picture. That's state of the art stuff in 1952.

 

My Dad always wanted a Savage 99 in .300 Savage.

 

What is that rifle in the 2nd picture?

Weatherby. That's all my dad and grandpa (when alive) ever used for rifles.

Looks like a Krag, bit it's hard to tell for sure.
