Slow morning here also...saw a couple of does.  Went back home around 11, made coffee and ate.  Looking out my dining room window way down in the field where the woods start - 2 does milling around.

Didn't want to look any more cause if a big rack was following, I might want to throw my shoe thru the window.

Deer gods not with me yet today! I sit in stand 5 hours till noon seen jack. Get down walk to truck have lunch relax for a few. I'm on state land. Getting geared up two nice ladies walk their dogs by. I walk down road cut in woods about 50 feet behind them walking. Take 5-6 steps see a flash up hill, err deer, rrrrr buck. Running crossways nice buck but I can't register it all that quick. If I shoot I'm gonna scare the shit outa those ladies and dogs. I grunt and stop him, can't see rack or head but have shoulder in the cross hairs at 70 yards...... Is he bigger than the one I got in bow?do I want him.?....Off he goes.

Now I'm back in stand to see nothing for next 2.5 hours wondering if I shoulda dropped him. @&%#€¥£!!

. I would I dropped him and then told those ladies they both them and their dogs should be wearing orange this time of year
