WhiteTailBuckDeer
Whats your favorite food to bring in your stand? I myself always bring bologna and cheese sandwich and steal a juice box from my kids. I'm always careful and try to pick something that wont smell too much. What do you guys bring? Doewhacker
PB&J, you can eat it no matter what form it takes when squished up.
Fletch
I like granola bars which I always have a couple in my pack and I usually have an apple. If I am doing a long haul I may pack in a sandwich or two. Also I always have a bottle of diet mountain dew.
NYDeer
It'd have to be the "Candy bag".. A ziplock with mini snickers, kitkats, salted nuts, ect, and some chocolaty granola bars.. I usually don't eat candy so its a treat to me while hunting..
Dave
Usually the first few days of the season I stay on stand all day. So I bring thermos of chicken bullion, apples, two sandwiches, cheese sticks, pepperoni and fig newton bars and a bottle of water. jasons75
Chicken bullion? Interesting.... I really can't speak about what I bring hunting (seeing as I have yet to actually go hunting) but when I'm out and about in the woods it's trail mix, ham samiches and water.... At lest 2 qts
NYBowhunter
I usually fast while on stand not to leave any scent, but there have been times that I will take some Granola bars. There have been lots of times where I would eat a light breakfast, stay on stand all day and not eat or drink then come home and have a nice supper. Dave
Usually during bow season I only hunt for 3hrs in the morning and 3hrs in the evening so I don't take any food or drink with me. Dave

Doc
My cold fried egg sandwiches! I know it sounds disgusting, but that's what I cart along when I am going to have something to eat in the stand. The big problem is holding off eating the whole bunch all at once. Once I get started, stand back ..... there will be egg and toast flying all over the place. Then I wind up sitting there looking for something to eat at lunch time. WNYBuckHunter
You know Doc, I have been meaning to try that. I love fried egg sammies, just havent tried them cold yet. I did get a chance to try deer heart sammies this year that someone else mentioned the last time we talked about this stuff. MMMMMMMMM, yummy. wooly
Usually take a roll and butter for breakfast........ a sandwhich, a Little Debbie's snack cake and a box fruit pie for lunch. Beverages I like my 2 cup thermos of joe for the morning and 2 cans of pop for the afternoons.
fasteddie
Doc ---those fried egg sandwiches are good with a piece of thin sliced ham or bologna that's fried also . I just wouldn't eat them while hunting .

I did get a chance to try deer heart sammies this year that someone else mentioned the last time we talked about this stuff. MMMMMMMMM, yummy. I'll tell ya, having something good to munch on can add a few hours to my stand. It's just a great place to eat and a great way to bring yourself back to life. I add to that a cup of coffee out of the thermos every half hour or so, and I'm wide awake and ready for more stand time.

I understand your concern about making your stand smell like a delicatessen, but I just can't help myself. ;D

Doc
I've gotta try one of the cold fried egg sammichies I've got no idea why I ever even tried something that sounds so gross, but I suppose it isn't much different than eating an egg salad sandwich. Besides I like egs just about anyway they can be fixed. So try it out. You just might like it .................Or maybe it'll make you barf ;D

martin
I like to eat eggs no matter what time I go out. It the protein that keeps me full. Then i will bring a protein bar and always lots of water and apples.
camper4lyfe
It's generally PB&J in my pack, and maybe a couple nutri-grain bars. I'll leave a more substantial lunch in my truck and take a break in the middle of the day. I usually get bored and sore around 10am, anyway, so I'm up and moving around lunch time. Lawdwaz
Funny how things go. A friend who can't hunt anymore used to insist on egg salad sandwiches when we'd go to PA for the flintlock season. I always had a love for 'em anyway so I'd make them and he would bring the coffee and a couple soda pops. Well, that "tradition" has continued for all opening day hunts for the last 10 years or so with the exception off adding green olives to the recipe! Sardines, smoked mussels, cheese and crackers round out the larder. I'm not starving or worrying about odors!!
