No Fawns

Anyone else not seeing any fawns this year? I'm in 3H and I have not seen any fawns with the does, not even on my trail cams.

We have a few set of twins and at least a coupe of different singles...one set of twins and their Mom manage to meet me at the end of the drive every morning...got to the point they don't bother running away any more they just watch me walk by..lol 8N

I had two does, each with one fawn, in my back yard Saturday morning. They seemed to be mowing my grass, which is cool. And there were two rabbits along the edge of the woods just beyond the deer who seemed to be reenacting a Woodstock love-fest or something.

Where I am is heavily hunted with very few bucks. I'm worried most of the bucks were taken last year on Oct. 1 before the rut started.

coyotes could be adding to that fawn count decline

I haven't seen any triples this year, but there seems to be the usual amount of sightings. 8T

These are from a very thick overgrown area so I see more fawns then most but this is 3m as West as you can go. I have seen more fawns in the last week then the previous month on the roads.

Saw one my last day of turkey hunting this year. I haven't been upstate since then, but I did see a few right before glen cove in LI.

I've had plenty on cams and saw a few in person over in jeffersonville, my pointer even
Chased one and I had to tackle my dog to save the fawn lol

I travel rt 17 from Harriman to Howard. Almost 4 hours on that road. Last week most of the Does had fawns with them some doubles but no triples.

I have seen none this year.   Really strange.  In fact,   day time sightings are down 99% this season.    If I didn't have trail cams, I would think all the deer are gone.

I've seen more this year than past years. Some are pretty small that I've seen lately

So I spent the last 4 days and traveled across 100 acres and only seen 6 does and a spike. No fawns. Also caught one lone coyote and a bear on the trail cam.

The doe here would leave their fawns and come  pick them up in the evening...not always do they travel together. I Have a set of triplets and at least two sets of twins living on our place...know they are there rarely see them and I'm out daily.

Ive got about the same number as past years. Couple are good size i think for this time a year.

There were 3 in the field tonight.   Low light.    I pulled out my rifle & practiced target acquisition.   

1 mama doe, and 2 fawns, but they didn't have spots.  Maybe they were from last year???  Definitely much smaller than the mama doe.
