Need some advice...

There has been some recent (claimed) sightings of a gaitor loose in my neighborhood.. Should I put some cameras out to hone in on his location or just start hanging chicken? ( pic was claimed to be taken by a kayaker)

The Tioghnioga river near Lisle Ny.. May be aledged, but the dec and encon have been very active lately! Havent seen this kind of dec action since the last grow bust.

If there is a gator, might want to spend as much time as you can around the area. To try for a picture or sighting. If one is there, it won't survive the winter.

Are gators protected in NY state? You might be able to score a free gator hunt if they're not.

2 more aledeged sightings.... I think ill go straight to the chicken... Near as I can tell you need a posesition liscense to have it after you capture it, but nothing on a special permit to hunt it....

It's not unheard of around here. Back in 2001, a caiman was taken out of Scajaquada Creek in Buffalo.

A lot of people buy exotic pets thinking it'll be cool but then eventually the pet out grows them or they simply found out it was not how they imagine it would be so rather than put them in some kind of shelter, they think it's a smart idea to release them into the wild.

one time a guy that works for me was driving and reported that he saw some deer with crazy looking horns .  A farm had lost some fallow deer they were raising and they were running across a field.  They did actually catch them though.  And 2 years ago in Munnsville in Madison county a guy shot a buffalo.  It got loose from a ranch and no one could catch it.  Was around for months and on/off different farms in the area.  So a couple guys asked DEC if they could take it if they had the chance and they dropped it in deer season. it was in the paper.  Guess you never know what your going to see.....

Well The DEC nabbed the guy. Hes been transferred Animal Adventure.. a zoo in Harpersville NY.

Well... things got interesting this afternoon... A second gator was caught about 1/2 mile upstream from the first.. Also relocated to the zoo...
