Wednesday Snow

My wife and I took a vacation day to avoid our daily long commute in the expected weather today. Got a fire going in the wood stove, venny steaks defrosting on the counter, and a full tank of diesel in the tractor. Ready for a good old fashion snowstorm.

be safe out there lots of idiots.

I used to work snow and ice crew for DOT - and yeah the overtime in the winter was nice for sure. But some tough days out on the road too.  good luck

Starting to snow here now in Livingston Co. I wonder how much we will get, I've heard 3-5 on wunderground but other sites are saying up to 10"

I'll ride the tractor over. You're around 10 miles from me. If I leave now, I can be there by 3:00!

The school district I work for is closed for the students. Staff must report. So here I am! The halls are much quieter today!

I will do my best to stay away from the crazy's.

It is bitter sweet for sure, but i for the most part enjoy it.  Thanks for the safe wishes.

It just starting snowing here an hour ago. We hardly ever close our school

Daughter's school district is closed. She's spending the day with Grandma and Grandpa. Worst part of the storm is supposed to be during the evening commute. Hoping they might send us home a little early today.

i have the luxury of deciding to work from home if i want so that's the plan today. however as of now in webster there's really nothing on the ground but it's starting to flow as I type.

Headed home soon.  Got up at 3:50am and into work by 5 am got closed up and posted on tv, some paperwork done to boot, head home for some breakfast and wait to blow out driveway in a bit.

Snowing pretty good here in northern NY my wife's job on Drum is closed as are all the schools.

in the office. we don't "close" for anything, but some work remotely from home if they feel the need. drove the wife into work not far from my office. snowmobile parked in garage ready to go. tractor with 6' back blade in another garage probably ready to go, as in battery is been lacking. just jump it or put the charger on it to start and be off plowing home.  might have to go to the farm and plow too. busy busy. hope the sled doesn't sit.

i've always wondered what's most any of you do with a walk behind snowblower?  i've got one sitting in the shed but never use it or get it ready.  too much not to use a plow.
