grampy
What a night!!! Congratulations again Brian!!! Way ta go you's two!!!! Ya make a great team! If possible, give us a quick rundown of you rig, which is awesome by the way. And calling sequence. Along with set up scenario. We could learn a bunch from you and Andrew. Besides the getting stinky part!
TreeGuy
I'll let Moog handle the run down. All I did was tell him where they were. I can tell you this foreshadowing... Dudes got a serious rig !But we did find out Sitka is NOT poop proof Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk

Besides the getting stinky part! Dave still at early stages of learning myself so not sure I have much to offer but quick rundown from last night: 1st set - Andrew caught eyes walking in. We never even got set up. He mouth squeaked a bit until I could at least get my stuff unloaded and the fox cooperated by responding to his mouths squeaks. Close shot. 2nd set - again caught eyes before setting up call. Fox started coming in to mouth squeaks. I wasn’t very patient and shot and missed. Should have waited. Short break then set up caller. To the best of my recollection, this was the sequence that fooled the yote: nutty nuthatch - 5 min titmouse tantrum - 5 min platinum gray pup distres - little longer and we had some yotes respond single female long howl - 3 howls and silence female submissive - a few minutes and silence long male howl - 2x silence pair of yotes - few minutes saw eyes and went back to pups in distress yote then worked it’s way in from 200 out until somewhere between 80-100 and when it stopped and turned slightly I shot. Fun night for sure. Rig is a 2A 223 with proof carbon barrel and pulsar XP50 thermal. As Andrew likes to point out, at this point, the dogs are costing me about $500/lb. lol. Hoping to average that down over time.

moog5050
Don’t know how to post video but this is a still shot through the thermal of a fox. Thought some that haven’t used one might like to see. This is the one that got away.
