Beautiful morning to open the pool. 30, real feel 18. 35mph winds. Will be 60 tomorrow though.

As soon as my toes thaw out, from this morning's turkey hunt, I am going to put on my insulated work boots and finish cutting and splitting up a trailer load of firewood.  The third cut of the lawn will be tomorrow's "post-hunt" project.    Usually, it needs cutting every 4 or 5 days this time of year but the cold slows it down a bit and I can get away with 7 days.

We have a 15 foot above-ground pool that I put up every summer for about 3 months.   The rest of the year, there is a 15 foot trampoline on that spot next to the deck (each is accessible from the deck without going on the lawn and tracking up grass). The mat was starting to wear out on the trampoline from UV exposure, but my wife ordered a new one for it last night.   The repaired trampoline,  and the cool weather will probably delay our pool opening until mid-June or so.

Once chemicals are right I jump in to start the year. Probably a few days. Usually it’s 58-59 for my first jump in

We got a new liner two weeks ago, me and my girls jumped in wife stood by incase water rescue was needed. It was a balmy 50 degrees. Its makes 70 degree water feel very very warm

My liner is from 2007. I bought house in 2015. It’s faded in spots, but I’m gonna ride it out until I have to change it

It's been so cold with a lot of frost and some snow, I'm having to skip most of the lawns I mowed last week. They just didn't grow.

I was sure I'd be mowing full swing around April 15th this yr.  Definitely got fooled.

Mines still going at a mow every 5 days or so in the front son. Back shaded area has only been mowed twice, but it’s also low and wet so I try to stay off it.
