Took my son on a mission to get him his first steelhead on the fly. We succeeded. He brought both of these fish to the bank. Awesome afternoon and the kid walked a couple miles and never complained.

@treeguy took me and my nephew out for kings and as usual, he got on fish! It was a rough start but once we got on them it was fast and furious. We landed four and lost one at the net. What an awesome

What a great day that I just needed.  Went to an old brook trout spot from back in the day when all I did was trout fish for the most part.  Even remembered mostly how to get in there.  Good distance back thru some state land I also used to hunt .  Lots of deer sign too.  

Took me about 45 min to find the little stream. Fished for an hour and had only one bite but a nice little wild brookie just over 9".  

That fish meant a lot to me.  Haven't caught a brookie in a while and it always brings me back to days fishing with Dad. 

So he came home and fried in butter and seasoned salt. Simple and so good. And some crusty bread and butter with it just like we always did at camp. 

Damn fine day.

I asked my buddy who is an Oswego county ECO and he hadn't been made aware of boat launch closures yet. So I'm hoping it's mostly a scare tactic.

Mexico was shut down days ago ?? Dec self serves are open but most others are already blocked off.

Fished a troutstream for first time in like 25 years. Threw a spinner for like 45 min and actually hooked a good one that pulled drag but lost it on some logs
