Buckle, Our Neighborhood Buck

Recommended Posts

I've posted this guy a couple times, it's odd that he's not in a bachelor group or afraid of people. Yes he's in the hood but he's just a few hundred yards from wood lots that get a lot of hunting pressure. My neighbors granddaughters call him Buckle. Here he is today e3e854a1c61d98d0653096d9c069ddff.jpgb67ea7f1c36f7f0a192c2dc7c875d550.jpg9aaebb9fb2729aa9ed679f5bda106eb9.jpg

I find a duck's opinion of me is very much influenced by whether or not I have bread

Nice looking two year old!! Maybe he'll avoid the heavily hunted woodlots, bed down behind that wood pile, and make it to three years old!

Dude you shot Buckle!  That's just wrong!

My neighbors wife offered me $100 to shoot him in July, I texted him and said tell her I'll be over to collect. He said fine but you're telling the kids lol. I said Nevermind

Reminds me of a line from a movie....Can't remember the title at the moment, but it was a western starring William Holden....

A kid told him that he had a great horse and asked him it's name....

William Holden replied  " You don't give a name to something that you might have to eat..".....

The movie was " The Wild Rovers"  with William Holden and Ryan O Neal...

I don't believe I ever saw William Holden star in a bad movie....
