I think it was a "pun". You CAN reload .22 ammo, you just need to find some to "reload" your gun with. Get it?3 points

Thanks for the warm reception. Here's a goose I've been working on. It's the first goose I've ever attempted. Still has some drying, final grooming and I need to add a habitat base, but you get the idea.2 points

Tony Avella plans to introduce a bill to ban the possession heavy or sharp objects in New York. Failure to wear the mitts will be considered a double-secret felony" said Senator Avella.2 points

Just wanted to say I. I'm in Suffolk on the north shore. I'm retired and mostly hunt upland birds and waterfowl. I shoot skeet and sporting in the off season, just to keep a hand in things. I don't hunt deer as much as I used to and will be getting back after turkey this spring after a 10 year lay off. I also kill time between seasons by fishing for trout and sport fish in the sound. I've spent a good portion of the past two summers carving decoys for my duck boat and making some duck calls and some other items for the field (i.e. priests, lanyards, etc.) I'm also into taxidermy and mount all my own birds. I do a little trapping, too. NEW1 point

So I am looking at a particular county's property maps to look at land, boundaries, and owner names for deer hunting purposes. This particular website shows the maps, boundaries, addresses, but not the owner name. Other counties will show all of the info and the names as well. This county simply doesn't. I inquired and they told me I need to FOIL the information to get the owner name because they do not offer it publicly. So I'm sitting there thinking #1, that is silly, because other counties offer it. And #2, they provide all other details, including mailing address of the owner, so what does not revealing the name otherwise protect? Then it hit me - ON THE SAME WEBSITE PAGE is the link to the tax rolls, which shows the owner names. All you have to do is use the property number from the map and search the roll using the find feature. Duh - how freaking stupid is that? Its manual, but I don't need to FOIL it at all because it is available publicly. So they don't provide the name on the map, but provide everything else info-wise, and on the same page that loads the map is the link to the roll that provides the name.1 point

Cant really use the two pics as an exact comparison for size when looking at them side by side in this post. The one with the cat in it is zoomed in by alot, which makes it look like the cat is bigger than it is. If you use the tree as the point of reference, youll notice the bear is far and away larger than the cat. Id say its a big housecat, it does look like there might be a long tail.1 point

I "know" this guy and he is a complete LOON. He lives in the neighborhood, approx 58- 60 yrs old and still living at home w/ mommy. Enough said.... He's a tree hugger, who routinely attends village/ town meetings to complain about everything and anything related to progress and cutting down trees, roadkill problems etc, etc, etc. Approximately 3 years ago my fire department needed to build/ upgrade a small, out of date ,and unsafe for the firefighters, station nearby to this crazy persons home. He fought tooth and nail to have this project stopped .He was thrown out of the court and made a complete ass of himself numerous times throughout the process saying that we were trying to build a 24/7/365 firehouse.....( since when is the fire service not 24/7/365 ?) He went so far as to stand in the way of responding fire apparatus trying to make his case. BTW, to no avail. The firehouse was built. I could go on and on, however when I saw the article I laughed and said he's at it again. He has a facebook page and some other websites that show pics of "poor road kill" and trees being eliminated etc... CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY......1 point

Today was a nice day, to bad my oil burner stopped working! No hot shower today, arg. Kind of glad it happened because their was a pin hole in one of the pipes that needed attention. I found out what a sharkbite is in the process. Cool tool for repairs and was much quicker than adding fittings and flaring pipes. Repair tech cost 200$ with parts in less than an hour and I went back to work happy to have heat again but hungry from no lunch or lunch money. Shower time!1 point

I suggest finding the photo and doing a Google image search. The last time someone sent me a photo of a mountain lion supposedly taken in NY, it turned out to be from our west. I have wolf photos at a camera trap from an AEP site in the UP in MI. I could just as easily post them in the AEP thread under game cameras with my NYS photos. The habitat is even similar looking to here. Let the buyer beware.1 point

Sorry, I forgot to post the instructions on how to get the joke.1) Read the forum for at least one day. 2) Have a brain. 3) Think about it for more than 3 seconds. 4) Enjoy the free comedy. You're missing some punctuation after "inside" there buddy. Just saying.1 point

Made offer last year, but no takers. It doesn't get used any longer since I have more toys. I have an older CVA Wolf that I no longer use. It's not the prettiest thing in the world since it's had a fair amount of days in the field, but it'll still shoot and good starter mz. Can include a scope. Would like to be in the Rochester area so I can meet w/Parent etc.1 point

Now I have to admit...I never noticed doves much other than the mourning doves in my yard each spring. I have to say I like mourning doves...I love the sound they make. That said...since your enthusiastic hunting season push...I see them or pigeons sitting on the power lines along the farmers fields...perhaps a dozen at a time still not many...To be honest driving by I do not know which it is pigeon or dove...un like the crow and the geese I can say I've never seen flocks of them here... I now wonder how many in our area of the western finger lakes/southerntier are have...I do wish you luck though1 point
