I am so glad this Uptown Redneck is here on this board posting, I just hope most of the members here are reading those posts. They are the most persuasive words I have ever seen written to make sure all of us get out and vote Trump and Republican!! Keep it coming and keep up the good work Uptown. Al4 points

So basically you have no idea why you are a liberal? I think you meant opinion not fact. It always baffles me why Liberals throw the word fact around and think that makes there comments credible. So I will ask you other questions Im sure you will dodge as well, but please tell me how Hillary is less evil than Trump. I havent heard how Trump has a trail of death left in his path, I havent heard how he launders money from some of the most dangerous people in this country through Canada to avoid taxes, line his pockets and calls it a Foundation, I havent heard about him deleting mass government emails to cover his arse, How many rapist did he get off and boast and laugh about it? Did he steal more stuff from the whitehouse than Hillary to topple her evilness? I was also unaware that he shares the same political stance as Hillary and one of the worlds biggest psychopaths named HItler, I know you call him little Hitler so it must be a fact. I had no idea having a motor mouth, being a self made millionare and having suits made overseas is so much more evil than the Clintons. How exactly is she not more evil again I forgot what you said in your answer?4 points

Hmmm - just received this photo of Larry at the last 3d shoot (pretty crazy shoot). Note arrow length: By the way - he won!3 points

Bad start.......you're just going to hamstring your hunting/shooting using the wrong draw length mods. I don't know what to tell you other than cut your losses now. I believe you've said money is tight? If so, watch for a smoking deal like the one TC dealt last week. THAT was the deal of the year.3 points

When are you leaving ? My youngest son married a girl from Venezeula . She is so happy to be here and away from the idiot running the country .3 points

I won't argue with any of that, Core. I also won't give up the fight to inform these indoctrinated 'special snowflake' millennials, either. I'm in a college town, and it's the least I can do for my country. ;-] I'll probably be dead before they come to power anyway.3 points

Does coffee count as passing time? I walk over to Phade's stand and ask him if he is seeing anything. He really appreciates my concern for HIS hunting satisfaction.3 points

Jay..........The cart could be your huckleberry if there's no snow. If there is snow, a plastic sled is the nuts. I've never used a cart but seen them in action. I have used a sled and it worked great. Sometimes it'll roll but lash them on TIGHT and it should work out fine. I've been fortunate to have either a machine to use or a friend within 20 minutes to help with the yankage........ Last year after I shot the 200+ pound archery buck I knew I was in trouble. No wait, I was F#*%$!, big time. I made a quick call to a friend who I thought might be home and he came from Hamburg to East Aurora and brought his 20 something step son along. The kid was strong as an ox! Two years ago I killed a decent 8pt with the bow and he was no light weight either. I don't recall the weight off hand (and don't feel like searching my posts or going upstairs to review my diary) but IIRC was in the 160lbs range. For some reason I decided to bring that buck out the shorter way which was UPHILL but much shorter than the downhill option. I drug that buck almost no stop for 30 plus minutes like SuperFreakingMan. Dumb move Larry...........you can't believe how much Makers Mark it took to heal my joints. Big bucks are great until it's time to drag, load, butcher etc.2 points

I used to not mind heights at all but as I get older I seem to have lost that particular trait. I have most of my stands as ladder stands and they run 16-22 feet which is pretty good for me. I propably do 20-22 in my climber but it all depends on the terrain. Now my younger brother has a stand out back on my property that thing sits in a creek bed so he went high to not get picked by deer coming over the tops. It must be 35 + feet. I climbed it once last year and if a deer came out I wouldn't of been able to shoot cause I was holding on with both hands!! Will never climb that sucker again!! I gotta admit I could see forever though! Even through the tears!2 points

Not sure about the draw length. But have to ask, what show are you watching? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

One of the best producing ladder stands we have is with only one ladder section attatched 5-6 feet tops! It's at the end of a hedgerow looking into a thick swampy area. Just high enough to shoot over the brush to the edge of the swamp where there is a solid deer run. It's not silly if you kill deer from it!2 points
-
For me, I'm not a big fan of heights but when I'm handing a new stand (usually a 15 ft latter stand) I prefer to find a tree with multiple limbs that I can grab when I'm in the stand. I always feel better having the option to grab a limb if needed.2 points

Well, I'll try this again. Last one got lost or deleted with all the site changes. To recap, my honey hole it shut down for the year for deer due to high water from rain this past winter affecting fawn survival supposedly. Was due to kick off the season Aug 6th, but now have to wait till Aug. 28th for a different WMA to open up. Went out to grab my cams outa there n got lit up by bee's. Tagged me 19 times that I can see in the mirror. Did see a dandy buck off the levy driving out. Biggest deer I've seen in person in FL. Oh well, not to high on hopes for this other public land as it gets hit hard and a lot of swamp buggies roaming around . Pretty much need some sorta bad ass 4 x 4 to get through some big water holes to get back into the good stuff away from everyone. Got back too late also to apply for permits for draw hunts. But we'll see what happens this year. Keep ya'll posted with pics and sort of a live from my stand Pic of the last buck I shot before I came to NY.... . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Well deer season starts tmorrow . Gonna miss opening day cause I have to bring my truck in to the shop , grrr. Be out Sunday , try n remember to post a few pics of the circus ... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Rob , are there any Alpine dealers near you ? If so , they may have some parts laying around the shop . Check it out . I am only 5'8" and was shooting with a 29" draw that I was sure was okay . I had to kind of distort my body to shoot . Got a bow with a 28" draw and what a difference . Good luck .1 point

He wasn't even close to my first choice and didn't get my primary vote but if he just did two things he said, nominate SCOTUS from his list and repeal the executive orders from Obama, I would be a happy camper. After that I really don't care if the government is in total gridlock. As far as I am concerned if they can't pass a law they can't further screw things up.1 point

Good question. I'd consider this as well. Not to post on youtube even but it would be interesting if nothing else to see what went wrong or right about a particular shot. $40 seems to get a decently reviewed one on amazon, though (?). My main concern about getting one of these is that it could be a real fiddle and I don't want anything else to worry about, particularly since I tend to use my phone and there is often not a great deal of warning between sitting on one's butt and then a deer coming by.1 point

Life is what we make of it! Right now, I'm enjoying fresh pancakes topped with blackberries, whip cream, and golden maple syrup, all but the flour off the farm. It's going to be a great day!1 point

Last year the abnormally warm weather and bountiful mast crop, kept deer movement to a minimum. But they did move! You just needed to be very close to preferred food sources or into or very close to the thickest stuff on the property, where they were bedding. They just did not need to or want to travel very far for anything last year. So less movement meant less sightings for a lot of hunters.1 point
