Hmmmm… I wonder if the DEC would believe me if I told them I was in my treestand hunting sika deer? After all, they are requesting that we kill them, right?

Thanks fellas! Unfortunately, not a whole lot of fun stuff going on today for me. I just survived Day #10 of the flu! Finally starting to feel like I might live though!!

Great work Matt! I bet the neighbors just "love" your new hobby! They're probably wishing you would blow the dust off your camera! LOL Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Happy Birthday!! Can just imagine how you're celebrating! Stomping through brush with shotgun in hand during the day, followed by some Jack Daniels on the rocks tonight!? ENJOY!!

I've been using the Scent Crusher bag for the past 2 hunting seasons. I agree. I've been amazed having deer come in from downwind and not spook. It's like they smell something, but it's not anything that they fear and they just go on about their business unalarmed. I will say that it has destroyed the elastic shoulder straps on my bibs. No big deal. I just adjusted them and that tightened them up. I don't nuke my clothes after every hunt, as the treatment is suppose to last awhile. If I feel I got any sweat on my clothes, if they got wet in the rain and I toss them into the dryer to dry, or if I know I'll be hunting in unfavorable/swirling winds I always nuke them.

I've been using the Scent Crusher Ozone Go for a couple of years now and it works great! Comes in real handy on those days when you run out for fast food for lunch. After I get out of the truck, I run the device for ~20min. and go back to a fresh smelling truck, with no noticeable fast food odor. On a whim one day at lunch, I ran out and bought a deer decoy. I was hesitant to use it for a while, because it had an plastic odor to it. I decided to load it inside my truck and run the Ozone Go to see if it would help with the odor. Seemed to work like a charm, as I used it the morning after I bought it and had bucks walking right up to it!

It's intermittent fasting (IF) and it has a lot of health benefits. Before I educated myself with intermittent fasting, I assumed it was just a way to reduce calories to lose weight, but it's MUCH more. The body heals itself, reduces inflammation in the joints, lowers blood sugar, lowers cholesterol, mental clarity, increased energy, etc... Google the health benefits of intermittent fasting. It's a regular part of some cultures to do, as they are aware of the health benefits. I started out at 16:8, but last year I began 20:4 (fast for 20hrs, then eat for 4hrs). When you don't have calories in your stomach to fuel your metabolism, your body uses body fat for energy. I combine IF with Keto and between the two, they churn through body fat! I've been on and off for a couple of years now. I lost 40lbs in 3-4 months last summer, but hopped off the wagon during hunting season and put back on 12lbs (gas station food, fast food, junk snacks while bored on stand, sitting sedentary for 4-12hrs in a stand just about everyday, etc...). I always pack on 10-15lbs between hunting season and the holidays. I just got back on track with my IF and Keto the day after Christmas. Frankly, I love it!

I wasn't expecting such a noisy-ass walk in! Hopefully the deer will make some noise too. Those leaves are frozen! Sitting on the ground in a spot that I haven't been to yet this year. Put a stand here last year, because I thought it looked promising, but didn't see squat, so I pulled the stand. I walked in last weekend to check it out and was impressed by the amount of tracks and rubs. Could be because the farmer put corn in the field ~300 yards away, instead of soybeans like he had last year. WTH.... Hail Mary time and I got nothing to lose!
