  1. the maytag repair man should be available... sorry couldn't help myself
  2. the one with the buck winking has to be used for memes!!!
  3. I like my 11.5ft l.l.bean kayak a lot!!! you can get in the weeds without worrying about a prop getting tangled up. nothing better than a bucketmouth slamming a hollow bodied frog through the lily pads!!!
  4. I was thinking of bringing mine in for a new string sometime soon, after reading this I think i'll bring it in tomorrow!!!
  5. "You should probably get that checked out"
  6. Did that with my mossberg a few years ago and it still looks great Sent from my SM-G386T using Tapatalk
  7. Literally had the exact same experience last week while turkey hunting. Sent from my SM-G386T using Tapatalk
  8. I like the idea of that show but it's 100% staged. life below zero is a lot better
  9. welcome to the world of turkey hunting! there really isn't much in this world that is more exciting than a loud gobble! your probably just over calling, it's really hard not to when your first starting. try just a couple soft clucks while their still in the roost. he'll know your there
  10. didn't make a sound, had a hen yelping like crazy about 10 minutes after I shot him. didn't hear any other gobbling or hens
  11. 5:50am, 3in beard, 14lbs, spurs are just nubs. not exactly a trophy but a really fun morning, plus I've come up empty the past 2 seasons so I didn't hesitate to take this opportunity. came in real slow to my full strut deke with another jake. didn't give him the chance to get spooked by it so I dropped him at 25 yards. Winchester long beard xr through a Mossberg 500 got it done.
  12. i like cutting them up in big chunks and making kabobs. i make a honey, garlic and lime marinade and let them soak overnight. then just grill them up. I slow cook the thighs and make an awesome soup with them. take them out after 6-7 hours on low and chop up that tender meat into bit sized pieces. falls right off the bone. add some veggies for another few hours with some fresh herbs right towards the end and your good to go. i can't stand the thought of throwing away any game meat so i always keep the thighs
  13. i bring a full backpack, mostly full of clothes to layer because i sweat like a donkey. walk down in a tshirt or base layer then add more layers when I'm at my stand. during early bow season i bring a much smaller pack with just the basics
  14. I'm also on the long beard xr bandwagon. shoot great out of my moss 500
  15. I was looking at one of the lowrance touch screen models and they seem really nice. might be a bit of overkill for the kayak I'm getting but you only live once
  16. thanks for not showing us any hot tub selfies!!!
  17. at first glance I thought they were big brookies
  18. i add bacon to my grind, comes out good. I've been putting burgers inside Pillsbury crescent rolls for a while now. just cook them most of the way then wrap them up in premade crescent roll dough, top with whatever you like(we use sautéed onions, mushrooms, red peppers, garlic and sharp cheddar) and finish in the oven. only way my girlfriend will eat a burger now. I've created a monster.lol
  19. not quite as impressive as some of the other pics on this thread but more than enough to get me excited!!!
  20. I'm not a beer drinker but all the guys in my band love that stuff
  21. like the slipknot beer glass!!! thought I was the only metalhead on here
  22. Jeff Bridges, John Goodman, Steve Buscemi
  23. couldn't connect with a bird last spring but I did have this doe nearly jump in my lap had all these turkeys come in to my make shift blind during rifle season. it's the classic "turkey during deer season, deer during turkey season" scenario
  24. 2 years ago I had an 8 pointer mounted, had it back by early March. but that's only because the guy who did it only does a dozen or so a year, more of a hobby with a little cash on the side for him. a professional taxidermist could take a lot longer.
