Nope wind and rain here . Tomorrow AM , then we’ll see, I too wasn’t going to hunt much early, now I’ve got a solid buck patterned.

Woke up to some rain and honestly it's too early for me to hunt in the rain, so I hit the snooze. Tonight looks a lot windier than I'd like but with the cooler temps I think I'll try an evening sit thanks to a relatively slow day at work.

Up and in, it’s raining acorns around me. Pushed out 4 does when I walked up to the stand and had 2 scoot by at 40 yards let’s hope my friend decides to come back

Made it in. Not as windy as I thought and in my favor. Jumped a total of 3 bedded deer in different spots and a shit ton of turkeys

Got in the stand at 330, sky opened up at 4.  Soaked through on the legs and contemplating just pulling the cards on the cameras and going home.  15% chance my shapely rear.

First time out this year. A doe and a fawn winded me but ran around me. Now they’re feeding in the field about 150 yds away.

Been in for about 45 min. Partner is about 125 yards on the north side of the corn to cover the NW corner.

I am in a 20 yard wide hedge row in a stand known as the honey bee stand for the bee nest behind my shoulder. This is a great stand and hoping for some action. Partner had a buck go by in thicket on his north but no dice on him coming through for a better look.

Well Ive been scouting more than hunting so far this year and I am hoping it will pay dividends in the coming weeks. Went out to a wetlands/swamp area today and was very impressed. Almost overwhelming how much food and trails I found. Usually it is the opposite problem.

Also ran into a random guy coming out of woods and he offered to let me hunt his private 100 acres, he doesn’t hunt. I wasn’t asking, he just offered. Hell yeah!

Awesome on the new hunting spot. Keep in mind that trails in wet areas tend to look more impressive because of the wet ground. But kudos to the scouting!

Ended up seeing at least a dozen deer. Had a wide 6 point within range but several does under me and they eventually caught my wind. The buck watched them run off and he casually circled out of range. Still not sure if I would take him. Fun and eventful sit for my first time out this year.
