Man that sucks! That's why i try not to draw my bow with out an arrow nocked. What new bows are you looking at now?

DOHHH!! Well you could replace the limbs I would imagine. My uncle ran his over after a hunt two years ago. Right at the beginning of bow season and had to buy a new one that day. At least you have time to fix it if you wanted to.

Seeing stuff like this is why I never draw my bow anymore without an arrow knoked, at least your not Injured! Might be better to get a whole new bow after you figure in the expenses and time to get the parts.

That's not necessarily true. I have seen limbs that are almost the same price as a brand new bow in the same model, so sometimes it makes sense to just go with the new bow.

It's a shame about the bow,just consider yourself lucky all your body parts are there and working.You just might find a bow you like a lot better then the ruined one.

Damn dude! That is $hitty! I busted a cam 2 years ago 10 days before the season. Couldn't get one soon enough so I bought a new bow. Got the cam fixed and now it's my back up. Sorry to hear, good luck!

Ok. So. No cracks in the limbs. Just some screws and a rivet that popped, and a few scratches. Looks like the string is good. It's going to cost me 100-150. Much better than I expected. I'm praying he doesn't see anything else wrong with it

I had a string/cable go one time in my basement.  It was pretty traumatic...........the bow exploded and a limb whacked by arm, I dropped the bow and grabbed my arm.  I thought it was broken but I was OK.  Scared the be-Jesus out of me.

 

I got it repaired and killed some more deer with it but it took me awhile to get over the fear of another problem when drawing it..............

Be glad your OK!  A bow is not as big of a deal as an eye or limb!!!  A good bow shop should check over the bow for any issues you might not see VIP!  Otherwise good luck, glad your OK, it could have been much worst.  A guy did that at Suffolk Archers a few days ago, momentary laps caused a dry fire, it happens to the best of us.  I know it sucks but you have plenty of time to get it fixed or replaced.  Good luck, let us know how it works out.
