YFKI1983
Had to put on a new kisser button. Drew my bow to see if it was right and I used my release. Must have touched the release... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
New York Hillbilly
Holy crap I think I'm going to puke and it's not even my bow. Sorry for the bad luck.
ATbuckhunter
Man that sucks! That's why i try not to draw my bow with out an arrow nocked. What new bows are you looking at now?
YFKI1983
It's a bear carnage. well it was. I don't know what I'm going to look at. It's beyond repair I'm assuming? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Renegade Hunter
DOHHH!! Well you could replace the limbs I would imagine. My uncle ran his over after a hunt two years ago. Right at the beginning of bow season and had to buy a new one that day. At least you have time to fix it if you wanted to.
Renegade Hunter
Limbs would be a helluva lot cheaper than a new bow.
Hock3y24
Seeing stuff like this is why I never draw my bow anymore without an arrow knoked, at least your not Injured! Might be better to get a whole new bow after you figure in the expenses and time to get the parts.
sits in trees
I did that on a treestand rail once. Makes for a bad day!
ATbuckhunter
Limbs would be a helluva lot cheaper than a new bow. That's not necessarily true. I have seen limbs that are almost the same price as a brand new bow in the same model, so sometimes it makes sense to just go with the new bow. YFKI1983
Going to the shop right now. I'm so friggin pissed..I was so comfortable shooting that bow. I'll see what it will run to fix it compared to new Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
thphm
It's a shame about the bow, just consider yourself lucky all your body parts are there and working. You just might find a bow you like a lot better then the ruined one.
chiefbkt
Damn dude! That is $hitty! I busted a cam 2 years ago 10 days before the season. Couldn't get one soon enough so I bought a new bow. Got the cam fixed and now it's my back up. Sorry to hear, good luck!
fasteddie
Not to add insult to injury but it sure looks like Carnage ...... Hope you get it fixed or replaced soon .
YFKI1983
Ok. So. No cracks in the limbs. Just some screws and a rivet that popped, and a few scratches. Looks like the string is good. It's going to cost me 100-150. Much better than I expected. I'm praying he doesn't see anything else wrong with it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Lawdwaz
I had a string/cable go one time in my basement. It was pretty traumatic...........the bow exploded and a limb whacked by arm, I dropped the bow and grabbed my arm. I thought it was broken but I was OK. Scared the be-Jesus out of me. I got it repaired and killed some more deer with it but it took me awhile to get over the fear of another problem when drawing it.............. Luck to you! (glad you are fine too)

F-150
Sorry to hear of your misfortune, hopefully you will get the bow back soon at minimal expense. Fortunately you didn't an eye or arm. Best of Luck with the bow and hunting !!
VT Outfitter
Sorry to hear about your accident, hope you didn't get hurt.
NFA-ADK
Be glad your OK! A bow is not as big of a deal as an eye or limb!!! A good bow shop should check over the bow for any issues you might not see VIP! Otherwise good luck, glad your OK, it could have been much worst. A guy did that at Suffolk Archers a few days ago, momentary laps caused a dry fire, it happens to the best of us. I know it sucks but you have plenty of time to get it fixed or replaced. Good luck, let us know how it works out.
