Fawns still have spots

Still getting pics of fawns with spots.. Isn't it late in the year for that?

I'm seeing a lot of spotted fawn and getting a bunch on trail cam. More than any other year for sure.

Just now starting to see early born fawns losing spots. Normal timeframe imo.

I'm still getting young bucks with velvet, is that normal for this time?

found a dead newborn this week (covered in flies n maggots) still had after birth on its feet.. maybe a week old at most... doe must of been bred in march/april..

Its normal. I used to see them with spots once in a while during bow season before it started Oct 1.

Its normal. I have pics of fawns with spots in mid october.

I wish fawns held there spots during hunting season so people would be able to tell that your killing a baby. I hate seeing people with these tiny deer strapped to the cars.

Meat processors love them. Get to charge full price for 1/2 the materials & work. Years ago I asked a processor about donations & they specifically told me yes they accept them, but no dinks or fawns please.

Got a big doe with a big fawn w/spots now and then up until early Sept at least. Haven't checked the cams in a little while. I also thought that was a bit unusual.

Depends on when they were born. Gotten recent photos (past ~2 weeks) of numerous fawns with, w/o and different phases of losing their spots. Basically depends on their age/DOB.

yea I have seen a couple of em recently.  GLOOBALLL WARMING MUTANT FAWNNSSS jk Could you imagine how scary it would be if deer were predators!  I love how the season is cooling off early this year.  Should make for a better bow season this year on the island.  Last year we had an indian summer and it ruined the movement and bow season. First day rifle was another story.  I don't know if you have ever tasted the meat off a young "er" deer but the game taste is barely even there the back straps are like the finest filet minion you have ever tasted!  I couldn't believe how good it was.  Cant wait to fill  the freezer again im all out!

No. I am no longer surprised even if they have their spots well into October.

I've seen some spotted fawns myself recently in the Tug Hill region.. not good
