Timing Off On Site Or Phones?

My setting are fine. Times are correct. I do not post using a phone.

So, if the times are just a bit off, it still doesn't explain this one:

The post was at one time, the "Quote" was an hour later. Yet, it was a quote. So, the time should have been the exact same. A quote is a direct copy of an original post. So, sorry, this just makes no sense.

That still doesn't explain a time offset on a quote. If it's a "Quote", like I said, It's a direct copy of the original post. So this time off-set looks suspect.

I am sorry, I really am not trying to be a jerk here, but this just isn't right.

I wish you hadn't mentioned this . I probably won't be able to sleep tonight .

I post from the computer and have no problem .

I didn't post this to be an a$$. I posted this because after my ethics were brought into question, I was beyond ticked off.

So I wanted to know what the deal was in people posting from a phone, and the time was off.

I can live with the basic thread time offset. But, again, I have to go back to that quote. That's off! way off!

I didn't come here to cause trouble, but, I sure as he** am not gonna be treated like some POS.

Who doubted your ethics, me?  If so, when?

The reason is the orginal poster's time setting on his profile is different than the time settings on the one who made the quotes profile.  Doesnt matter what time someone elses post states when you quote it if your not on the same time zone setting as him/her its going to automatically capture your time settings.  It has nothing to do with what the time on your computer is set for but what the time settings on your NY Hunting Forum profile settings are at.

This is an example for you JustRob.  Notice the quote times vs your original post time.  The reason it is different on my quote is I just went in and changed my timezone settings.  It also automatically changed all my quote times and post times from the past as well.  Now I hope I remember to change it back after you read this or I will be off by many hours forever lol.

That. And If you are not logged in how would the site know your time zone and if your are on daylight savings time, which is also a setting in your user preferences on the forums settings.

Long story short, if you are logged in, and have the time zone set along with daylight savings set, your times on your posts will always be correct.

Well I just posted and it's it one hour slower on the forum than actual time on my computer and all house clocks..

Yes i do look at my watch before a shot and the time does matter to me..I also set my timer on the cell phone to the weather station times and put it on vibrate....

I'm screwed in another ten days or so,when day light savings time ends and everyone sets their clocks back.

I have the following two weeks off and just like the deer I still operate based upon the sun,and don't set anything back !

When I go back to work I set mine back . It's all just an arbitrary date they pick,I pick one that suits me better !
