Fawn again fourth one

Mama's ditching them ? Daughter made me swear not to shoot "mama" with fawns many years ago. I've finally convinced her this year that if they're big enough they'll be fine. So all these years all I ever see are does with fawns, even late ML season.  I did have a fawn crying thru out the woods a few years back. Bedded down right in front of my stand. Cried for a good 30 minutes. sorta sad. Not sure if it got abandoned or doe got plugged.

i never see any deer during late ml. Yeah I think the does are locked down with bucks and that makes for slow hunting

I shot two doe this year with fawns in tow. I passed so many doe the past few years because they had a kid with them and I didn't fill one tag last year because if it. This year I told myself that unless the fawn was really small or had spots that I was shooting. First doe I shot a month ago, the fawn stayed for a few minutes and then left. The doe I shot yesterday, the fawn followed her mom after shot and then I heard the mom crash. The fawn followed the blood trail all the way back to beginning and bleated a handful of times then went back to where she crashed. Two hours later I saw her leave, wandering away, eating as she went. Bumbed me out to be honest!
