Al Bundy
So my neighbor posts his land facing my area, though nobody ever set foot on it. Ok fine whatever. Then he takes surveyor tape and drapes it all over. Not done yet, he takes a strand and ties it between two trees, blocking a major trail where deer cross. Only reason to tie acros the two trees is to be a dickhead and block the trail to try and keep deer coming over. Maybe this clown is the reason deer traffic slowed to a trickle for me. Gr gr gr gr gr and more grrrrrrrrrrr.
dgram36
All this time I've been trying to keep deer out of my garden and all I needed the whole time was surveying tape! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Trial153
NY is the dickhead capital of the country.
Five Seasons
That won't stop deer. But I'll admit after I moved south I was amazed at how much kinder people were. NY is not lacking of d-bags
nodeerhere
Yep sure sounds like a dickhead to me!
DCHunts
I'm fairly certain that tape he put across that trail will only act ad a finish line of some sort for the deer. You'd be wise to go sit near it to be there when one busts through
nodeerhere
Does this dickhead hunt?
Four Season Whitetail's
I would just walk over and bust it like a deer did it. leave the 2 ends tied to the tree's. A real dickhead will see a deer went thru and put up another piece of tape.

Al Bundy
Y I don't think this will stop deer, but maybe change their pattern slightly for a short time, just in time for opening day. Yes he's a hunter. A few other oddities that make me wonder. He better watch out. I heard shots that direction after legal shooting hours. nodeerhere
Dan ny. Go to tractor supply and get the deer repellant and spray his prop about 2 wks before season. Throw a food plot in on urs. Good luck
WNYBuckHunter
So a guy is a dick for posting his land and clearly marking the line? Why would you even care?
BuckThornBooners
guess that makes me a dickhead neighbor. not the first time I have heard that.
WNYBuckHunter
What I like about this thread is that they guy that did nothing wrong is the jerk, then other guys are talking about putting gut piles in his driveway, and harassing him in other ways. I wonder why so many people have the idea that hunters are a bunch of knuckle dragging Neanderthals.

Uptown Redneck
Maybe the real "dickhead" isn't the neighbor who is bothering noone but everyone else who is on here bitching about how he uses his own land

So let's all post our property and be unneighborly and not get along with anyone cause it's mine! All mine! That's the way America is suppose to be!!! Oh and don't use the (D) word u get Introuble! Just incase u guys didn't know.

ELMER J. FUDD
Pay it forward. Be the bigger man. Keep an eye on him and offer help when the time comes. I'm in a treestand that was given to me by a hunter I met at a property line. See what his deal is.
NFA-ADK
Sounds like a jerk but its his land. Let it go, idiots are hard to argue with and make you look dumb.
New York Hillbilly
lol.... Deer don't give a hoot about survey tape, and it sure is not about to stop them from going wherever they want. Good grief! They would just walk around the trees instead of between them if they felt like it. Deer go through tangled up crap everyday and its tough to keep them out of anywhere if they have it in their head they want in. Ask my destroyed apple trees that were decorated with dryer sheets, bars of soap and all kinds of stuff that were supposed to keep deer away. The deer still chewed them up until they died. And, even if the guy may be acting a bit extreme, who cares. If he owns the property he has every right in the world to claim it as "all mine". You can still be good neighbors with someone even if they don't want you on their land. Being a good neighbor starts with respecting the other guys rights about what he chooses to do with his property. Isn't there an old saying about good fences making good neighbors?
