weather for Sunday of the southern opener is looking good

I can't recall the last time we had snow opening weekend, really looking forward to it.

Take snow over rain any day...3-5 in southern 9g will be nice....wind looks minimal as well...and ramping up as the day progresses.

Sunday shows 42 degrees, rain, and 25mph winds....nothing great about that. Saturday and Monday look much better.

weather update...the more north and west you go the more snow you will see. i hunt Chenango county could see up to a foot by Sunday night.

That will be some change in weather and great timing with the cold front passing through on Saturday and Sunday.

20-30mph winds blowing wet snow in the face on Sunday sounds interesting. Hard to beat deer hunting in the snow!

Mine says 61degrees 80pc chance of rain and 20mph winds Saturday, not to exciting. Cold front for Sunday with winds still at 20mph, could be interesting if some snow flies in the hills. Gosh I remember one opening day we must have had a foot of fresh snow, it was wet snow that stuck to everything. you couldn't see 30ft in front of you.

Geeze I checked the weather channel and it says 1-3inches sat night and 8-12 sunday. Shut the front door.

Remember 2000? 7 feet of snow over two days, I didn't think I was getting home for thanksgiving
